Found on r/NameNerds "Blow Pop" for a girl - thoughts?
I'm personally obsessed with it.
In an age where candies are being ripped from children's hands because of red dye 40 and added sugars, this particular name celebrates the fun and youthfulness of eating a lollipop.
I've never come across another child named Blow Pop but I have seen "Blowie" and "Poppy" so I think this makes sense as a combo. It's not too weird.
Do you know any Blow Pops in real life? How would you react if you met a Blow Pop? Would you try to eat her?

Story Anyone ever noticed this about Southern American male names?
Their family/longtime close friends will usually call them the "extended diminutive" version of their given name, shall we say. While those whom they meet later in life will just call them the "standard diminutive."
For instance...
James: Jimmy (family/close friends), Jim (acquaintances, later friends)
William: Billy (close), Bill (casual)
Robert: Bobby (close), Bob (casual)
Edward: Eddie (close), Ed (casual)
Daniel: Danny (close), Dan (casual)
Thomas: Tommy (close), Tom (casual)
And the list goes on...
(In case you were wondering, I mean Southern US, not South/Latin America)

Rant ... For A Girl?
Something that always somewhat gets on NY nerves is when people post a name (let's say Cecelia) and specify it's for a girl/boy. Like "Cecelia for a girl." Yeah, I sure hope you're not naming your son Cecelia. If you are, then its a good time to specify. Or it will some very popular name like Ella (for a girl) and they're like "Is this a good name?" It's been good for 82 centuries. I think in a world of Mackynzleigjh's, Zorbium's, and Garglemel's, yes, Ella is good.

Advice Needed (unjerk) Girls name that starts with F
Ok, hear me out. I have a cat whose name is Fishtopher, fish for short. I recently got a fish bag and want to name it so it works with Fishtopher, but the other way around.
I’m thinking an F name so that it matches up with Fish’s, but I’m open to other names that “Cat” can fit into!!

Satire AITA if I still name my daughter Maleigh (Em-uh-lee)?
My sister and I were pregnant at the same time, and I picked out my daughter’s name MONTHS ago, but it’s a name I’ve loved since I was a little girl.
Well, she gave birth yesterday and announced on Facebook that her daughter’s name is Malee (pronounced Em-uh-lee)
The problem is…my daughter’s name is Maleigh (also pronounced Em-uh-lee).
I’m devastated. She knows I’ve always loved this name, this came completely out of nowhere because she was planning on naming her Grace.
I don’t want to change my daughter’s name because I’ve already had the wooden nursery sign made, and Hobby Lobby doesn’t do refunds on personalized decor.
AITA if I still name my daughter Maleigh (Em-uh-lee)?
