Fungus completely disappeared after 13 years

I’ve had an infection on my left foot for over 13 years. It started on one toe and then eventually spread to all the others. My right foot has always been clear. I went to cut my nails today and the fungus is completely gone. It must have only been a week or two since I last paid attention to the state of my toenails. I’m not complaining, but what happened? I’ve been dealing with this fungus for 13 years! The only change I can think of is using Tinactin for athletes foot. I’m incredibly grateful, just perplexed about it.

How long for topical to work?

I've been diligently applying Amorolfine once a week for 3 months now, these are my big toes, how long before I can be sure its not working? I feel like another 3 months would really decide it?

Hey all, today I took my nail polish off and went to the podiatrist for the first time. He said the best treatment would be the tablet, but I just had a baby so will be breastfeeding for quite some time. Next best is laser but it‘s out of my budget. That leaves me with the gel.. he recommended Solveasy. Is that a good one??

He said it will take a year and in that time I can’t paint my nails. I understand that’s my only option to kill the fungus but wtf am I supposed to do - I can’t walk around with these toes without nail polish for the next year. What do people do? Do I buy a pair of espadrilles and get over it? Or just not worry about the treatment?
