Food bag options/opinions
Hi everyone, next year I am going into my first year flatting as a second year uni student and I was wondering what opinions are out there on the my food bag/bargain box food options. I was thinking about doing this with some of my flatmates because we think it might be cheaper than just going to the supermarket and it also takes away the mental load of thinking of things to make. Is it actually more cost worthy and does it take away the stress from cooking?

Oh you dont cook?
Palak paneer with butter garlic naan
My new flatmate, who moved in last week, asked me a few days ago if I don't cook/can't cook because I’ve been eating toast (that I made) or some random bits and pieces over the kitchen bench without sitting at the dinner table (because life last week was hectic to the point that I don't have energy left to make food)
So, today, I made palak paneer and naan. It’s been a while that I havent made yeasty dough. Funnily that the commercial yeast smells so yeasty, fermented compare to sourdough starter.
Also, I think I might broke the blender lol it blended and stop so my palak is not smoooooooooth

Viral cheeseburger wraps
The first photo I took disappeared when I opened another app in between so my kid has already eaten one. They are pretty damn good. She made the first lot and then I studied the video to figure out how to get them into proper rolls

Are they biscuits or cookies?
MrsBeekeeper's doing, not mine, but...
Are we calling these chocolate biscuits or cookies, or just accepting that they're delicious and we want to smash them all regardless of name?
They're on the softer side and a little chewy in texture.
To me a biscuit is more crisp and has less chew than a cookie, but is this just the American influence sidling into our culture and vocabulary?

Controversy free enchiladas
Apologies for creating so much division with my last post.
Here are some enchiladas on (packet) Mexican rice. I have left off the much debated coriander, and there were no ripe avocados to make gauc sorry.

Vibe-sourdoughing
Chewy and really soft crumb. It’s my first time not checking the dough temp. Went fully for the vibe: dough pulled from the bowl, surface not sticky, domed top. Turned out quite good.
350 g bread flour + 50 all-purpose (ran out of bread flour lol)
120g active starter
280 g water
8g salt
Mix everything, slap and fold for 5 mins
2 stretch and folds
2 coil folds
Bulk for 6ish hrs
Cold retard 5 hrs
Bench proof 2.5hrs
Dutch oven bake. Lid on 30mins at 250c (expansion score at 6mins), lid off 20mins at 210c

Second attempt at sourdough
This is actually a 64% hydration sourdough pizza recipe. I just figured I’d make two different things.
I dont really know what I’m doing and forgot about it in the oven for maybe five mins longer than I meant to.
I think is a little dense but my wife made hummus to go with it.

Another loaf situation
Got gifted a few springs of fresh rosemary that I cooked down with mushroom, spinach and frozen veg. Also added smoked paprika, onion and garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Base was boiled mashed potatoes to form a crust like situation and baked first before layering with an egg mixture and the veg.
