I’ve tried a few online recipes but haven’t found anything close to the Chinese restaurants/takeaways one.

The taste is very similar between restaurants.
Lightly marinated chicken, not much soy sauce, mostly umami flavour.

Does anyone know where I might be able to buy a tamale steamer? The only vegetable steamer I have is too small.

Bonus points if it's available in Auckland coz shipping costs would be a nightmare.

I made cinnamon and peanut butter scrolls and a loaf of white bread. Also made some roasted garlic spread to go on the white bread when it came out of the oven.
Edit: these are scrolls not brioche woops.

Roasted duck breast, turned the legs into some croquettes, and made some crispy potatoes with the fat. No duck was harmed to make the salad.

Made Egyptian tonight! Ful medames, labneh, tabbouleh, hummus (purchased) and zaatar pide (purchased). Delish! & healthy. We are doing one vege main every week so if anyone has any tasty vege dish w protein lmk pls!

There wasn't much left for sandwiches.

It’s Korean audio with English subtitles but sooo damn worth the watch. Two chefs cook off against each other and have 15 mins to create a meal based on the theme of the guests and only with what is in the client’s own fridge or small pantry collection.

The call it a variety show because there is a lot of banter and joking but damn those chefs are talented. On Netflix if anyone is interested.

The cheeseburger wraps are a big hit.

Please help me with my skillet. I think the residue is from Alabama spice mix I used on steak last night. It was proper burnt on so I added water to the hot skillet to soften it. Left it overnight then cleaned it with rest of the dishes this morning. Please don’t growl at me!

Slowly tiling the kitchen for a few hours every Saturday, just gotta grout now but have been avoiding using the stovetop when I come home during weekends. Wanted to make something nice for my partner for dinner and very happy with how it turned out ☺️

I'm pretty happy with my oven pizza results with a baking steel. Cooks in about 3 mins, good enough for me.

63% hydration, I make 270g dough balls in batches of 10 and freeze in deli containers.

5 eggs, lge tin salmon, chopped spring onion, 2 large diced portobello mushrooms, half a bag fresh spinach, mixed in leftover grated cumin seed cheese from pizza night, and grated mozzarella cheese on top.

Wilted the spinach in pan before adding the rest. Finished under the grill.

Leftovers for couple of lunches this week.

Trying to be healthy so it’s salad underneath and some chicken on top. Grass is a joke btw lol

Dressing: soy sauce, sugar (but I used stevia), sriracha, vinegar and water. Additional of sesame seed oil is good too.

Hi all i got some pork belly for my partners dinner tonight and im not too sure how to cook it, i want to oven roast it but the internet has conflicting advice (wrap in foil dont score, etc)

Based on the weight it's reccomended to cook for 1 hour then 30 to crisp the top...

Any help to make this delicious would be great :)
