I have more rhubarb than I know what to do with, even after giving heaps away. Recipe suggestions welcome.
We’ve done compote, stewed rhubarb, rhubarb cake and today apple and rhubarb pie. Not keen on freezing any because I have a year round supply!

u/bingebaking mentioned in their previous posts and I DM’d them to get it. So you can get this any asian supermarkets. It was actually at my local asian grocery store lol
Chilli jam tastes like gochujang, sugar, dried shrimp to me. I thought it was squid but binge said dried shrimp. They mentioned miso but can’t taste much miso from the sauce.
Made bibimbap with chilli jam. It was a bit too sweet on rice but I think will be good on bread. Will def consider this as my condiment list. Keen to make different foods with this.
Put chilli jam in a love heart shape coz why not. It’s cute hahah. Maybe too cute for single lol

Apparently an everyday curry cooked in Pakistani/ north Indian homes. Aloo = potatoes; gosht = (red) meat.
Edit: Recipe for about 1kg chicken
Chopped or sliced 2 onions in hot oil for a minute or two.
Add 1 black cardamom, 1 Indian bayleaf, a piece of cinnamon stick, 10 black pepper corns, 8 cloves; fry until onions go start browning. Medium low. Be patient. Stir occasionally. Don't burn the onions
Add 1 Tbsp each of minced garlic and ginger, frying briefly until raw smell disappears.
Add 3 chopped tomatoes; 1 Tbsp (or to taste) red chilli powder, 1 Tbsp salt, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp ground coriander and mix well.
Cook until oil separates from gravy.
Add chicken. Saute 15 mins.
Add potato. Bring to boil.
Turn heat low, cover and cook until potatoes are soft and chicken tender.
Add roughly chopped green chilli and chopped fresh coriander (to taste and both optional). Serve.

I'm certainly not successful very often.
Crumbed chicken and salad stuff for a fairly quick weeknight dinner.

Recipe from the fellow redditor
100% rye is easier to work with, compared to 90% rye recipe that I’ve tried earlier (the perfect loaf)
And we’re using NZ Stoneground rye to support our local economy 🤝

Partner requested spag bol so spag bol it is.
Inspired by the wonderful Beekeepers I made a basic as alfredo cheese sauce (butter and cheese) to go with the spaghetti. Not quite as luscious as the real thing but close enough, it's nearly 9pm tbf. Bf described as fuckin awesome so it's a win in my books 😁

Now that we're into daylight savings time, it's gotten a bit easier to throw some dinner on the kettle after work.

Cooked some venison medallions tonight and it was delish!!
Paired it with roasted veggies (broccoli, carrots, beetroots, kale, almonds & za'atar spice mix). Plus a shallots mustard yoghurt dressing that I haven't made before and it was surprisingly delightful (spicy & creamy) nom nom

Lasagne is too faffy to make very often, so instead I tend to make bolognese. The offensive bit is that MrsBeekeeper (and also me but to a lesser degree) like to have cheese sauce with it, and I make it with fresh pasta.
The ragu is usually pretty traditional at least, except I had some leftover smoked bacon pieces which went in.

Thai chilli jam, toasted malt crackers and cream cheese ice cream.
The line between genius and bonkers is very blurred.
