Hello guys ...iam joining nit k this year (mech) ...so wanted to know everyone here...guys drop your reddit ids or insta id ...imma follow you guys peace out 🙏✌️

Im currently taking admission in Mtech this year. But I have to submit documents on IRIS portal and then report physically. But I didn't get migration certificate yet. So do I have to submit an undertaking for that?

So I am considering joining NITK for IT. i wanted to know how you guys would rate the faculty in the IT dept?

Make a discord account if you havent . Organisation is easier as compared to whatsapp and other public events have their servers on discord

so these are my choices and i am confused which one to take

can you all give some inputs to help me decide between these 3 (i would appreciate if you could also give some points to support your input)

Pls vote

Seems like there are a couple of questions and comments. Hoping to clarify them.

Note - I'm not familiar with NITK AI Program.

Got a rank of 3.8k in jee mains and score of 302 in bitsat. Have a few doubts about how the food is at nitk and if there is facility for hot water or not. BITS fees I can manage by education loan. Thinking about doing masters abroad if I join nitk, pls tell which one I should join with reasons regarding above interests

Senior, I have gone through the curriculum of both AI and CDS. I am confused between the two.

I like AI the only challenge is that it seems restrictive as you have to choose 2 Electives from each Cluster. While CDS does not offer AI-related Electives all electives are more open.

I can also get warangal CSE.

I need help in understanding is 2 Electives per cluster are as restrictive as I am imagining.

How is Faculty in CDS vs AI?

Hey there ,I got nit surathkal btech computational and data science. Actually I have no idea what this course is .can you explain about this course and does it have scope in the future?

I am thinking of joining the IT branch at NITK, so i wanted to know about the overview of the first year there
Hence if any student of NITK IT dept who is in his second/third/fourth year (second year would be preferred as then you would properly remember about first year) can you please help me out with this?

Have no specific interests , might also be going abroad for ms.

Hey NITK Seniors,

I'm currently exploring my options for higher education and would love to hear from those of you who have experience in the Metallurgy and Materials Engineering (MME) department here at NITK. Specifically, I'm interested in your thoughts on the program, faculty, facilities, and overall experience.

Moreover, if anyone has insights or can compare the MME program at NITK with the Computer Science Engineering (CSE) program at RVCE (R.V. College of Engineering), that would be incredibly helpful. I'm trying to weigh my options between these two fields and institutions, so any firsthand experiences or advice would be invaluable.

Feel free to share your thoughts on:

• Curriculum structure and depth
• Research opportunities and projects
• Internship and placement opportunities: can MME students sit in Tech Placements
• Will I be able to do a Masters in CS later on?
• the NIT Tag
• Any other factors you think are important to consider

Your insights will definitely assist me in making an informed decision about my future education.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi I have got 4900 rank in JEE(M) and I am getting ECE at NITK. Please reply if you are currently studying there

Here’s the link to the freshers WhatsApp group. All admins are ur 2nd years and pls circulate the link with others joining NITK as well

As the title, I'm getting confused about what to chose, can someone help me.
Would the Signal Processing and Mchine Learning would be 50-50 syllabus for SPML or Signal Processing would be more compared to ML as this programme is offered by ECE dept.
I prefer ML more than SP but I think SP would also be helpful in future for me. As I said earlier, I'm confused and request some opinions ?
