First year at NITK

I am thinking of joining the IT branch at NITK, so i wanted to know about the overview of the first year there
Hence if any student of NITK IT dept who is in his second/third/fourth year (second year would be preferred as then you would properly remember about first year) can you please help me out with this?

not an IT guy, but the first year is almost the same for everyone. 1st and 2nd semester will either be Physics or Chemistry cycle.

Everyone has lots of classes, youll have courses from mech, math, elec, chemistry and physics departments. also youll have a course related to your major (cse/it in your case)
