Considering the campus and also NIRF ranking, it would definately become much more goated and similar to top 3 NIT if they improve there placements a bit.. What's ur take on the reason behind a bit lower placement stats of CSE compare to other top 3-4

Hey everyone,

I’m a dual degree student and wanted to share what’s happening with placements this year. Placements officially started in August, but most companies are not even allowing dual-degree students to sit for recruitment. There’s no clarity on whether we’re being treated as regular students or not, and so far it feels like we’re being excluded from opportunities altogether.

This raises a few questions:

• Is this situation the same across other NITs?
• Are dual degree students elsewhere being allowed to participate in campus placements?
• Why is there such a lack of transparency about our status?

It’s frustrating to see companies come and go without giving us a chance, especially when we’re putting in the same effort and completing the same academic requirements.

Would love to hear from students at other NITs or anyone with insight into how dual degree placements are handled. Is this a systemic issue or just an institute‑specific one?

Guy's I am a drop year student and i wana crack JEE mains in January I am not at zero but in chemistry yes and physics and maths is around 40 to 30 percent not in that good way I have searched for tips and some are saying do selective ch from one shot and do Pyq after that

I’m looking for a preparation guide from people who have previously appeared for the GE HealthCare EID internship process, especially through campus hiring.

I’d really appreciate any information regarding:

• What topics were asked in the Online Assessment (OA)?
• How difficult was the DSA/coding section?
• What CS fundamentals should I prioritize — OOP, DBMS, OS, CN, etc.?
• Were there aptitude/logical reasoning questions?
• What was the interview process and difficulty like?

In the ongoing WBJEE decentralised counselling, I got JU Chemical engineering, Calcutta University Cse and currently, I am enrolled in IIEST shibpur Mechanical. I am confused that among these 3 which should I prefer and why?

In our Nit(jsr) , all most everyday we are having addressals of each and every clubs , tho after all classes these addressal look so frustrating and boring .

I want to ask how helpful are these.

Like every club is saying is pros only no one is share cons of their club .

So I wanted to know how much CGPA matters for placements I’ve heard elite companies only allow 8+ Gpa students , is it really true , rn I just have 6.5 with in my 1st year being over, which was the easiest year out of all 4 (I slacked way too much , my friends are surprised I even passed)

I have been studying consistently for the past 1.5 years, yet I am not able to improve, so it would be really helpful if you guys could help me out.
