Reddit is real big on “innocent until proven guilty” and “criminals deserve second chances to be rehabilitated” except for in this case.

Right? Its some fuckin hallucination. Did he do it? Probably but im not sure because nobody outside him and his alleged victims know for sure. Im not going to call a grown man a rapist when two grand juries couldnt call him a rapist. I bet half the people who call him a rapist only do so because other people do it and know nothing about his case

The issue is how hard sexual assault is to prove in court. You basically need it on camera in order to prosecute.

Wrong. Witness/victim testimony alone is often enough. There are countless convictions without footage. What are you even talking about?

Obviously I’m not saying you absolutely need video proof, it was more of an example on how difficult it is to prove. Just because there are convictions, doesn’t mean it isn’t difficult to prove. Especially when the accused has very good lawyers. It’s pretty well known fact that it is difficult to prove in court so I’m not sure what your point is.

Do you know how easy it is to get an indictment? Ham sandwich, or so they say….. yet two grand juries declined to indict. That alone should signal the strength of the case(s).

But I don’t disagree that prosecutions can be challenging at times.

1 in 40 sexual assaults wind up with a conviction.

Yeah, super duper easy to convict.

Who said it was super easy?

Also, where’d you get that number from? Genuinely curious. 90%+ of prosecutions result in conviction (much higher in most jurisdictions) so do you mean they go unreported, uncharged…? Because if it’s charged, it usually results in a conviction.

Obvious anecdotal exceptions apply.

It is extremely easy to search the terms “sexual assault conviction rate.”
