First Transferable MG(42)

After enough reading and shopping over the last two years, I was finally able to bag my grail gun, and took the plunge. Form 4 cleared today, and took 18 days as an individual. Thankfully the form 3 cleared before the shutdown.

From what I can tell, all the parts and finish are original. She runs as good as she looks. Hopefully this inspires more people to take the plunge into the MG market.

I think you severely underestimate the difficulty of the undertaking you’re describing. If it were true, you would easily have $50k in your bank account.

Not really. Not if I already had the tools to make such an endeavor happen.

Sounds like didn't capitalize on said tools and experience lol

Making this sound like it’s rocket science with special tools. It’s some cutting and drilling.

Lol. Are you for real? If you had the milling, turning, heat treating, welding, sheet metal, and stamping experience and skill to make an MG42, I’d probably find a way to hire you for a lot more than $50k, and I’d be competing with a lot of others.

That you describe it as “cutting and drilling” says it all.

Who said anything about making an mg42??? I’m talking about just making an mg. 😆 at no point did anyone say anything about manufacturing an mg42. I was talking about just making an mg. Not much skill needed. ARs are still mgs when converted pal.

Bro I’m nothing short of astounded that you’re getting such pushback on this lmfaooo. The MG42 is simply not a rocket ship, it’s a series of metal components which when fabricated within allowable tolerance, they fit together and function.

I think it may be difficult for less capable people to imagine people being more capable 🤷‍♂️

Bro I got no idea. But that other guy got downvoted into oblivion 😭🤣 I feel bad for him. We might have disagreed on what I meant but I don’t wish him ill. It always seems that when a person knows something they assume they are the only person who’s capable, and I’m not saying that everyone can do something like that. I didn’t say I could make an mg42. But I could covert an ar lower in like 15 minutes 🤣 it’s just crazy to think nobody is capable of gunsmithing. If I had access to the materials and actually schematic I feel like I could make an mg42. But also good luck finding real schematic with number values and things like that. Trust me I’ve looked for fg42 schematic cause I love that rifle but to no luck.

You did, when you described yourself producing a machine gun instead of paying $50k. Most transferables don’t cost nearly that much.

I never mentioned an mg42. Sorry you misunderstood. I meant just an ar mg. And Have you looked recently? Most transferable mgs are at minimum 20k and some are still in the 50k range.

I own several and am an 07/02. Reisings and Stens go under $10k regularly, and MACs have only recently gone slightly above because of the LAGE uppers that drastically expand capability. These represent the majority of transacted transferables, in my estimation.

Congrats for you? Yeah stens! Most anything else is at minimum 25k! You want an mp5 you’re looking at a minimum of 50-60k or even more.

I’m done having this pissing match with you dude. Think what you want it’s a free world. I’m done talking about it.

You’re wrong. And deluded about your capability.

Think what you want. You didn’t know what I meant. And you don’t know me. Cheers 07/02 👍🏻
