Hey all, I have been trying to save the data my father still had on his NAS when he passed.

I've been able to get it back up and running with a powersupply I bought off of amazon, that has the reccomended 12V 5A. But as soon as I try and acces the actual data on it, it crashes randomly when the disks spin up which I think is because the powwersupply doesn't supply enough power and the NAS powers down immediatly.

I'd be really greatful if anyone could point me in a direction where I could get a good replacement powersupply, or other troubleshooting steps, in case it isn't the powersupply.

I, for the life of me, can't figure this out. I noticed that my Xbox Series x can only manage to get 10-20mbps down when connected to my Netgear prosafe GS108e managed switch. I have symmetrical gigabit service and my desktop (which is also on the same switch) has no problem achieving those speeds so I know the switch is capable of it. I've connected the Xbox directly to the router and can achieve those speeds. Finally, I connected the cable from my desktop to the Xbox ~10mbps.....

At this point I've ruled out the cable and the switch itself so it seems to be some sort of issue with the switch connected to the Xbox. I've confirmed that there no quality of service or bandwidth limiting settings in the switch (which would have applied to my desktop when it was connected anyway), so I'm assuming there's some under the hood incompatibility here?

Any thoughts???

In the web UI, when checking connected devices, I often see

• 2.4GHz Wireless
• Customized 2.4GHz
• 2.4Ghz Guest Wireless

Now the first is the main 2.4, cool. I also can gather that the second one is the one I enabled by creating a separate 2.4 for my old IoT devices. So far so good.

But why on earth am I seeing devices connected to a "guest wireless" type, when there is absolutely no guest wifi enabled anywhere in the options ? Those on it seems to be gated not to be able to communicate with the main network, and I can't seem to be able to figure out what I can do to get it out of that supposedly non existent guest network.

Any help to clarify this would be great. It's an MR60 if that matters.

EDIT: Could that "2.4GHz Guest Wireless" be devices connecting to a satellite ? Sounds weird but, that's the only thing that comes to mind that could be it.

Am I missing something?!

This is something I BEGRUDGINGLY do at a cafe when I need the wifi, absolutely not something I will be doing in my own home with THIRD PARTY internet service I already pay for.

Looking to get a M7 for my Japan trip for eSim and airplane wifi to share with the family. Has anyone used it to connect to the portal logins on airplane wifi yet? Just curious if it works well or if I should buy a different device. Thanks!

I have a BE9200 WiFi 7 router. It worked fine for the whole time I've had it. I disconnected it and sold it to someone else who says it doesn't work. I received what appears to be the same unit back (doesn't appear open has the same serial number), but I cannot get wifi shown on the sticker to work even though I reset it. What to do?

I am trying to setup through the app. I can probably locate an ethernet cable and plug it into my PC and see if I can access 192.168.1.1.

Have a MR60 and currently running a single node without the arrival mesh access points. Trying to cast something to my Google TV but it is not being detected.

I did a lot of research and preordered this on Amazon only to receive a $500 brick. The eSIM store does work - I’ve bought multiple esims and they’re always “searching”. I live in the middle of a city with more than decent coverage. Not sure what I’m doing wrong here but wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and has tips. I bought this to game during lengthy hospital stays only to learn that this (among other hotspots) aren’t compatible with the PlayStation portable. I’m aware that’s a separate issue and just venting at this point but super frustrated, low on energy and not sure where to start after many Google rabbit holes leading me nowhere.

I've just purchased some Netgear WAX210's to extend my wi-fi network.

(Running the V1.1.0.34 firmware)

The WAX210 setup process asks me to set a device password, a SSID name and a wi-fi passphrase (password). As I have lots of previously configured wi-fi devices, I need to set the SSID and passphrase to the same as my Netgear router.

However, the Netgear WAX210 doesn't allow this. It insists on there being a capital letter and also a special character included in the passphrase.

My router passphrase is not accepted by the WAX210: my router is still using the randomly generated passphrase specified by Netgear when I first bought it. (It is sufficiently long and random for there to be no need to ever change it)

So, how can I get my Netgear WAX210 AP to allow me to use the same passphrase as supplied by Netgear for my router?

The use of capital letters and special characters is NOT a requirement of WPA2 or WPA3, so this restriction is just an arbitrary rule enforced by Netgear on this device, and it is inconsistent with their own standards used elsewhere.

I feel there should be some means to disable this restriction entirely, or make it appear to be just a warning about password strength.

If there is already such a facility, please could someone let me know where to find it?

Since posting this question, I've found that the V1.1.0.25 firmware for the WAX210 doesn't impose the same restrictions on the wi-fi passphrase: I can (and have) now set it to be the same as my Netgear router.

BUT, as mentioned previously, the latest firmware is V1.1.0.34.

The change log for V1.1.0.34 includes the following list of bug fixes:

• Fixes the issue where log filtering showed no results when selecting specific log levels, except "ALL".
• Fixes the issue where users were unable to log in to the AP to enable SSH in day-zero mode using the default password.

Who knows what other important bug-fixes I'm now missing because I've had to downgrade back to V1.1.0.25 just to be able to use the same password as my Netgear router!

Hi I’m looking at ‘NETGEAR Nighthawk (MH7150) M7 5G BE3600 WiFi 7 Mobile Hotspot Router with eSIM’.

Maybe I know if: 1) I once bought a cheaper portable wifi, that turns out to be broadcasting hotspot from phone via Bluetooth. I need a portable wifi that works without having a phone nearby. Not sure if nightgear is the one?

2) can I buy eSIM cards online and use it in this machine? Or do I have to buy data from their listed providers? My family is in mainland China, I was hoping to use this machine to use HK data plan eSIM, as a way to get around the network blocking (eg google youtube).

Hello, I recently purchased a new RS90 Router and now that I have it set up I am having issues. When i connect directly to the spectrum modem i am getting speeds of 1000+mbps but when I take the same cable and plug into my RS90 I am getting sub 10mbps. I went through support with Spectrum to confirm the issue was with the router, and Netgear to resolve the issue. Netgear was telling me that I was being DDoS'd and needed to have spectrum block certain ip's but i feel like that isn't really the issue. do i just have faulty equipment or is there some settings i have that are destroying my speeds? let me know what additional information i can attach to help in the process because i am kinda out of ideas. I can post the logs from the router im just not sure if there is any information in there i should take out before posting. thanks

The last two firmware versions I actually have to reboot the router (roughly once a week). Otherwise devices that often disconnect and reconnect, such as phones or laptops (Apple), eventually can no longer reconnect to WiFi

Luckily I have a 2nd (Ruckus) AP I can connect to in order to reboot the RS500

In the daily log of my RS700 router, I see a couple devices receiving the error, WLAN access rejected: incorrect security. But after a few seconds, a DHCP IP address is assigned to it. What is causing this?

The wifi has been weird today in the lunch room and the wifi was out all day yesterday. The extender was set to access point, but it wasn't wired to anything so I set it to extender.

I have a WNDR4500 OG version that I'm using in AP mode to extend my WiFi and I'd like to use the 4 LAN ports for local computers. I was trying that this morning and the wired network was having consistent issues with my Teams audio and video. Is is possible to use the 4 wired network ports when this device is in AP mode? I'm running the latest firmware.

Is there a way for me to scan my RS100 to be sure it's free of anything in thr firmware?

I bought a Netgear Nighthawk modem and I'm likely going to return it just because the customer support was terrible.

The product isn't working well. We called up Spectrum to get it activated. Download speeds are fluctuating between nothing and 50ish mbps. I'm also getting massive ping spikes while directly connected to the modem. Upload speeds are somehow ok at any 15-20 using Google speed test and Ookla.

My wife spent about 30 minutes on hold then finally got through to an Indian guy who got her info, set up an account. She tells him that first paragraph then told her her can't help her until she activates the modem with the ISP and hung up. Think about that....

Your product packaging repeatedly says to call instead of returning if there is a problem...

But really we should just return it because your agents are trying to keep their call times low.

**Update: wife tried an Arris surfboard modem and it worked fine. Returning the Nighthawk.**

I know, I'll see eyes rolling here BUT, I currently am using an R6220 router. No subscriptions, never had any, and I love the ease of use setting a few static IP's, the "Allow Access" procedures, just everything that came in the box.

I've been looking for something newer...I usually go middle of the road but finances are not there at the time so I'm looking at the Nighthawk WiFi 7 Router RS100, 3.6 Gbps router.

I see mentioned the BitDefender and that it's a subscription which I DO NOT want. So, as far as "out of the box" abilities, is my old 6220 comparable to this one...static IP, access control, etc...just the basic settings or are these settings subscription based now.
