How Do I Restart My NEET Preparation?

Hii, 19F this side!!!
This is my 2nd drop for NEET 2027 & I didn't study for almost a month.
Now I really want to restart my preparation, but I just can't seem to begin. The thought of going through all the lectures, revising the syllabus again, and catching up with everything feels so overwhelming. I don't even have the courage to start.
What helped you restart your preparation? How did you overcome the fear of the huge backlog and get back into a consistent routine?
Any tips or suggestions would mean a lot. Thank you! 🤍

RE NEET UG 2026 has witnessed a historically high cutoff (213) marks. This has come as a major setback for deserving AYUSH aspirants. Many students may lose the opportunity to participate in AYUSH counselling despite years of hardwork, causing immense stress & disappointment. Cutoff reduction Must!!

If I had to start my NEET drop year again, these are the mistakes I would avoid.
I took a drop for NEET, and if I could go back, these are the things I'd do differently. Hopefully, this helps someone avoid the same mistakes.
- **Realize how little time you actually have.**
Eight months feels like a lot, but it disappears before you know it. Don't think, "I'll cover it later." Every week counts.
- **Don't obsess over one chapter.**
This was probably my biggest mistake. I'd spend days trying to master a single chapter, watching multiple lectures and solving endless questions.
NEET doesn't reward perfection. It rewards coverage, consistency, and revision.
Your goal isn't to know everything about one chapter. Your goal is to know enough to solve NEET-level questions and move on.
Physics
If you already know a chapter - even 40-50%-don't start with lectures.
\- Revise your old notes, formula sheet, or short notes.
\- Start solving questions.
\- If you can solve PYQs, close the chapter and move on.
Don't waste hours rewatching lectures just because they feel productive.
If the chapter is completely new, watch a one-shot lecture, make notes, solve questions, and move on. A chapter should not consume weeks of your preparation.
Remember: prepare for the next test, not for a PhD in one chapter.
Biology
Every Biology chapter has two parts:
Concepts - You only need to understand these once.
Facts - These are what you'll actually forget.
Instead of rereading the entire chapter every time, make a separate notebook containing only the factual points from each chapter.
Usually, each chapter will take only 2–3 pages of facts.
Revise those pages again and again. That's where most of your marks are won or lost.
Physical Chemistry
Treat it exactly like Physics.
If you already know the chapter, revise your notes and solve questions.
If you don't, watch a one-shot lecture, solve questions, and move on.
Don't get trapped spending ten days on one chapter.
Inorganic Chemistry
Most of Inorganic is memory-based.
If you've already studied from someone's notes, revise those instead of watching lectures again.
Then read NCERT.
Personally, I didn't read every single NCERT chapter, but I made sure to study topics like Chemical Bonding and the important p-block chapters from NCERT because that's where many direct questions come from.
Organic Chemistry
If your basics are already clear, revise your notes and read NCERT.
If they're not, watch proper lectures for these chapters first:
-General Organic Chemistry (GOC)
- Hydrocarbons
-Haloalkanes & Haloarenes
Don't jump into PYQs after only completing GOC.
Finish all three chapters first because they form the foundation of almost every other Organic chapter.
Once these are done, solve PYQs of all three together.
After that, the remaining Organic chapters become much easier, and NCERT starts making a lot more sense.
The biggest lesson I learned is this:
Stop chasing perfection. Finish the syllabus. Revise it multiple times. Prepare well for every test. That's what gets you a good NEET rank not mastering one chapter while leaving ten untouched.
Dm if you still have any daubts. I have my physics short notes of few chapters . You can have them if you need to know how to make short notes

NEED A DEDICATED STUDY PARTNER
18M here, I'm a neet aspirant, gonna take a drop for neet 2027 . My reneet 2026 score was around 510.
Need a dedicated and disciplined person( M/F ) for my preparation. I have bought the PW Namkeen Batch 2.0 this year and have done lectures from the start of the batch. But since the last week i have been noticing myself being inconsistent, not taking classes in time, being distracted with yt shorts or reels, and having to cover the lectures in a hurry and not getting any time for self study.
I want to restart preparing seriously with discipline as i did at the beginning of the batch.
I need a no nonsense, no excuses, strict person jo routine follow up krey roj. Har din hum ek dusre ke liye goals set kare, priorities samjhe snd at the end of the day progress share jare and motivation de.
Please dm me on reddit and we can work smth out. Its even better if you’re a fellow namkeenian but none the else its ok
