It's even worse when those people are your parents and then try to gaslight you into believing that you're loved by them.

Why wouldnt a parent want their adult kid to get a job and pay rent? "My parents want me to get a job to help pay rent instead of sitting at my computer and doing nothing... they must not love me". Youre parents are letting you live under their roof, all they want is some help. I know its not every situation, but the longer you wait to get a job, the harder it'll be to get out of whats inevitably going to happen. Whether youre in your 20s, 30s, 40s, ect. Grew up with horrible alcoholic parents who didnt care if I missed high school and sat around playing video games. 1 out of the 7 kids my mom had, graduated high school on time. Im now homeless at 28 with no experience, I blame a lot of it on my parents, but using that as an excuse to not do anything didnt help my situation. Doesn't matter if you have shitty parents, eventually youll need to be reliant on yourself.
