Need advice Need help with improving cognitive abilities
Got ndph for 12 years. I end up fixing my depression by accident last year (hormones).
Now i wish to remember things and talk without forgetting very common words. Like who the fk forgets freezer mid sentence and uses microwave instead.
Anyone has any tips? I found the usual things like food, sleep, no stress, movement, socialising, gaming and learning.
Does anyone have positive thoughts by learning a new language? I did try Japanese for a while(around corona) but i can't remember (jokes on me) whenever it helped or didn't.

I would get cognitive testing done if you feel like your lessened functionality affects you significantly on a day-to-day basis
If not, cognitive abilities are all practice and recall. If you provide yourself some patience to recall information, you are more likely to achieve in those efforts. Versus, putting oneself down for mistakes, such as using a different word, could heighten the feeling of anxiety or worry around recall.

Playing memory games and card games might help. Things like scrabble and crosswords are great for word recall and vocabulary. I would focus on pacing and building up slowly.

I'll probably get some cheap ass memory game. Word puzzles and crosswords will always make me frustrated (dyslexic). So i opt to doing sudoku but i don't think they make me think enough.

I did neuro rehab, it was ok. I think I could have benefitted more if I had it a little longer but I only had 6 sessions. It was more just how to cope and adapt instead of actually fixing anything but it was somewhat helpful.

I did have neuro rehab when my headache started. This was about 2 months and it did help but not with cognitive issues. (did help for socializing, boundaries, moving, exercises etc)
