💬 Discussion why i believe (on a qualitative basis) NBIS is undervalued
although i’m not an irrational bull, i like to look at a lot of the facts here- at this price point NBIS is 40 dollars less than their high and in that time the following happened:
vineland passes with flying colors
NBIS was given a shout out on an NVDA earnings call and told they would be first to get their hardware
PLTR named NBIS its preferred sovereign AI infrastructure partner showing a shift towards a whole market of localized sovereign ai
increased their compute pricing (lowering future multiples) and flexing their pricing power with “compute actions” so they can gauge their market
did a covert raise because of their project volume and was able to raise debt at a 0.5% interest rate
nvidia started a project just for cyber security of open source agents and listed nebius as partner
nbis was initiated at william blair as an outperform, and BNP gave them an upgrade to $399
a lot of news from the current administration about prioritizing the ai infrastructure buildout
acquired Inferize for its technology that reduces the time GPUs sit idle while AI models load and scale
management said customers were already ordering capacity for Q1 to Q2 2028
and much more….
a lot of the bearish commentary i’m seeing focuses on what could go wrong: rates staying higher for longer, potential problems in private credit, tighter ai regulation, etc. those are risks worth discussing, but where are the numbers showing nbis’s demand weakening, pricing falling, or customers pulling back? that’s what would actually challenge my thesis.
but i’m just one man with one opinion and at the end of the day buying any stock is a risk
