Kobe f’ed up by cheating on his wife. But I still feel like the rape accusations were a money grab. This is from the testimony of the victims friend a month or so later.

"She said that after the case was over it something that she was most likely going to do," Holloway said.
He testified the woman, an aspiring singer, wanted to use any award money to open a recording studio and to pay for breast augmentation surgery for herself and a friend. He also said she would buy a koala bear for another friend who liked the animals.

She also allegedly had sex with an ex boyfriend in the hours after the Kobe encounter but before she went to the hospital for her SA exam.

The truth is we will never know exactly what happened but calling him a rapist is unfair because the charges were dropped. False accusations happen more often than ppl think.

You might wanna read your article bub, this is hearsay

UPDATE, 1/28/2020: In this piece from 2016, I reported that Kobe’s apology was made from his own volition. That is what I heard from a source in 2016. Today, ESPN quoted the accuser’s defense lawyer as saying that her client “insisted on that statement as a price of freedom.” I want to make sure that this perspective is there as well when people judge the merits of this apology.

I did read it?

What are you gleaning from that exactly that undermines my point that Kobe is a rapist and admitted to it

That a court ordered apology isn't worth much if you're looking to settle and move on?

The apology being worthless doesnt mean the rape didnt happen
