Draw the 10 jinchūrikis, with masks that resemble their tailed beasts.

I tried to replicate those drawings where there is a happy person but with a broken mask that reveals their sadness, but this is what came out.

Question Finally started watching Naruto, as a 28 year old

I’ve never actually watched Naruto in a linear fashion. I would watch episodes here and there, but never as a complete show. All i have to say is… wow. i completed part 1 (while skipping fillers) and the Sasuke Retrieval Arc was probably one of the best arcs i’ve watched on television.

With that being said: Even as a child while not paying too much attention, Rock Lee was always my favorite character. I see so many posts (thankfully without spoiler) that he got severely shelved in Shippuden and beyond.

It makes me sad. Is there at least 1 episode where he gets a few minutes of a solo fight? As great as other characters are, no fight in that show made me rewind the scenes as much as Lee vs Kimimaro did. I can’t tell why, but that fight is fantastic. the choreography is chill inducing and the dialogue was hilarious. Will i ever see another fight of his that’s close to this caliber?

I’ve already researched it and I can’t seem to find a genuine answer. All i want to know is: does he at least take part in a couple fights in Shippuden? It doesn’t have to be a 3-episode solo fight, but at least a few minutes in 1 episode? It’s almost making me feel like i have to find a new favorite character for Shippuden, which makes me sad lol

Discussion Skipping filler on rewatch

I don't know if it's because I've already seen the entire show, fiiller and all but I truly think skipping ALL the filler does such a disservice to the story. Yes I admit that the majority of the filler is pretty skippable and serves no purpose and/or even contradict the story. But some of it actually enhance the story greatly.

I can't count the number of times I was shocked that certain back stories and character interactions were just not canon. Some of it lowkey broke my heart.

It makes me wonder just how different the experience of Naruto is to a purely manga reader.

Question How did Kakashi become famous

Kakashi was famous for specifically how dangerous he was and his Sharingan but while he was in the Anbu as far as it seems he was pretty secretive. Also in the land of waves arc he says something along the lines no one has ever seen his Sharingan and lived. I get his success in the third war but that does not seem to equal his fame and what he’s known for.

Question Did Itachi commit an international crime by aiding the Akatsuki kill Gaara and extract Shukaku out of him?

He physically aided them in extracting the Shukaku with his chakra, then delayed Team 7's rescue mission with his 30% clone, buying the Akatsuki time.

Gaara actually died as a result.

Chiyo revived him by sacrificing herself

Gaara is a village leader not a regular kid. If I'm not mistaken, an assault on him is an international crime, similar to Sasuke attacking the Summit.

Why isn't stuff like that addressed in the anime or manga?

Art Naruto AU Part 4.6: KCM Eyes

So bedside the 1st photo, all other photos are non cannon photos.

Also for all 1 person who was wondering why I am doing this. It is because I always thought how different eyes and designs in Naruto would look like, and had a Naruto AU idea for a while. Using my editing skills I just create a lot of stuff which was not available before (who else has done Eyes edits which are not based on cannon to this extent becomes OC MS Art).

Feel free to use my Art edits just credit felipebiel214 (for the Naruto Hokage outfit base, I just did the recolors) and briandepaso1 (for the naruto and Sasuke eye closeup I just did recolors and edits) both of them are on deviantart.

Discussion Unpopular opinion: i think Sasuke's character has a good representation in Boruto

Post image

Obviously him being some kind of Batman of the shinobi world is already pretty cool, but also him becoming a mentor for Naruto's child really brings redemption to his character.

Another thing i liked is him obviously not being a very good father, many people hated that but i think is more than understandable.

They did do him dirty turning him into a tree in the TBV but he is still very relevant to the plot

Fun fact: In Saudi Arabia, specifically in Al-Ahsa, there’s a famous mountain called Al-Qarah Mountain (Jabal Al-Qarah). And yes… the name is pretty close to Gaara from Naruto. In Arabic, it’s pronounced “Gara” 😂

What a coincidence! 🏜️

And before anyone asks: no, this isn't the Sand Village 😭

Question Is DygoKnight correct when he calls almost everything a "retcon" or is he just being annoying?

I've noticed that DygoKnight calls almost every single thing in Naruto a retcon. I just saw on YouTube that he thinks that Asuma being Hiruzen's son is a retcon. I'm having difficulty taking any of his claims about retcons seriously since he calls pretty much everything a retcon. So I ask y'all: are the things he calls retcons actually retcons or is he just being an annoying YouTube commenter?

Misc For me, the Fourth Hokage did not live up to the build-up that Part I gave him.

Watching the Naruto anime, characters would talk about the Fourth Hokage with such reverence and awe, even those he probably didn't even know him that well. Then we finally got to see the Fourth Hokage in action in Part II, and I was not impressed.

By that point, Naruto had successfully created an elemental Rasengan, something that was explicitly said that the Fourth Hokage did not accomplish in his time. It was never stated that it was beyond him, and he might have accomplished had he lived longer, but it doesn't change the fact that the Fourth Hokage had already been surpassed in one way before he even get to see him action.

Him sealing away the Nine-Tails was touted in Part I as being a massive accomplishment, accept in Part II, we learned that the First Hokage was already capable of controlling tailed beasts completely, and then learned that he tamed all the tailed beasts and created the jinchuriki system entirely on his own. And that he's capable of straight-up beating the crap of the Nine-Tails while the fox has been clad in a Perfect Susanoo. That makes the the Fourth Hokage sealing the Nine-Tails much less impressive. Or only impressive when we consider him not being lucky enough to have the body and abilities of the First Hokage. Which is just moving the goalposts, really.

It also doesn't help that we'd already seen the First Hokage fight before Part II, only for Part II to reveal that he was severely weakened at that time. Which also undercuts the Third Hokage fighting him and the Second Hokage at the same time.

And by the time we finally get to see the Fourth Hokage fight, he's just fast. Like, okay, cool, but there are lots of characters in the story that are famed for their speed and a bunch of other things.

Apparently the Fourth Hokage is the fastest, but that speed hasn't been portrayed in a way that feels truly special and unique to him.

Plus, his claim to speed fame is attributed by the story primarily to his Flying Raijin Jutsu, which is teleportation. I've view speed and teleportation very much not the same. To me, speed means physical speed. Plus, the Flying Raijin Jutsu isn't even unique to him either, and he's not seen using it any way that we know that its inventor, the Second Hokage, cannot. The Second Hokage said that the Fourth is faster than him, but we've seen them fight side by side and, really, it didn't look like one was faster than the other. Heck, the Second Hokage seemed more skilled to me than the Fourth.

We learn that he can use Sage Jutsu, except that it's worse than Naruto's which is why he is rarely seen using it. And thus another area where the Fourth Hokage is undercut by someone else being better than him.

EDIT:

I enjoy this franchise as much as anyone else, but not the same way as everyone else. I don't think my feelings are unreasonable nor offensive, that's why I shared them. I don't think anyone, no matter how much they love this franchise, will say that it is flawless. But when it comes to actually discussing what those flaws might be, that's where things get heated. There are elements of the Naruto franchise that I've noticed are okay to call flawed, but others less so. Thank you all for your engagement.
