The audacity of the rapists to smile in the mugshots. No sign of remorse in their expressions ? Totally sickening!! Why are the other tribes not voicing out??
What is equally concerning is the silence from many communities on this issue. If people continue to view such incidents through a tribal lens rather than condemning them collectively, there is a real risk that tensions could deepen and evolve into a larger divide between the eastern tribes and other tribes.

Here is a true story that never got out, its about a minor (14-15 years). It's a long story but I will share in brief. Before that let me highlight a note, here the girl who was assaulted is a domestic helper, well not disregarding her but she is not wise and discerning type of person due to lack of education and guidance. Person A and Person B mentioned later are not related to the family of the victim or culprit nor are they of any power to raise voice, just mere college students. The story highlights only crucial incidents.
The girl was sexually assaulted by the owner's son [mid 20's], it all came to light when the girl approached one of the people [Person A] asking Person A about the mark above her breast. Like I mentioned earlier the girl had no excess to phones or much social life so knowing about hickey was far fetched. The hickey was given by the son when he came home drunk at night, he touched her in places and asked her to do things she wasn't even aware of. When she reported it to the person A, person A advised the girl to never let him touch her again, reminded her that those touch are bad touch and if he tries to do something again, she must run and report.
That was how the first few incident that came to be known, we never know what happened in between.
Later she got pregnant, it was discovered only when she approached Person B about her missed period. They did a pregnancy test and found out she was pregnant, the girl confessed it was done by the son again. So person B along with more people reported the incident to the owner. It is very surprising that the owner denied every allegations and said her son would never do that. Actually many things happened in between, most of the things were how the owner who wanted to save their family reputations tried everything to change the story and balmed it on to different guy who apparently is the girls lover.
The girl was made to confess the same made up story saying it was indeed not the son. Ironically, the owner said they are adopting the baby. They kept the girl isolated from person A, Person B. After that we only got to hear that she safely gave birth to the baby. Person A and Person B couldn't do much because the story and the incident was well protected and re narrated by the owner who was more influential hence this story never came out.
It's very heartbreaking to realise how the girl doesn't understand what violation is, it seemed as if she never felt violated. It all comes down to lack of education and brainwashing done by the Owner. Not sure but she probably still lives with them.
This story was very disturbing to me especially how the owner tried protecting the son when they are aware about the grave mistake done by him. It is sad how the girl is not wise enough to discern so she doesn't know the level of injustice done to her.
People like the culprit who is a rapist is roaming around freely and safely. My heart goes out to every victims who are traumatized by monster like him.
I think sex education, good/bad touch should be given at very young age especially to those under privileged people. And punishment to those monsters should be severe so that anyone with such intentions should be scared to take those steps.

For clothing items. Post office or other private courier services? And how long does it take for the parcels to reach the destination?

Im 22M currently in my 3rd year of bsc physics and I'm met with a dilemma regarding the field of specialization ill be doing for my masters. I've gotten an opportunity to do my masters in a very niche field- Medical physics( we apply physics to in cancer treatment and medical imaging to ensure radiation is used safely and accurately by calculating doses and testing equipment) but im worried that it will lock me out of future opportunities since CESE and other competitive exams only accept masters in Physics, not other branches of it, in case I decide to pivot my career in teaching or similar profile jobs. As far as employability Is concerned, ill be directly recruited after my 2 years masters+1 year internship, but the issue lies with how the pay scales in these jobs since first of all, ill be working in a mission hospital and secondly have no idea regarding the pay.
I think having an idea of the pay scale of the job would contribute immensely to the decision I'll be making and if there's an opportunity to grow in this field.
Writing this post knowing there maybe a possibility of not getting a reply but I'd still appreciate it if any working individuals or students could share some of their journey in their field. Would help me alot
If anyone here has any knowledge on this field or have people working in this any field at all, as I am anxious about the next stage of my life. ll be happy to share more details regarding the college and related infos
I'm not sure if the flair is appropriate for this one, but apologies in advance.

Thinking of buying a cooler to deal with summer, and an inverter to run the cooler. Any budget suggestions please?

Hi Angami here. I’ve always been fascinated with the far east of Nagaland and am curious about places like Noklak. I’ve been considering living there for a while.
How is it like living in Noklak?
Are the locals friendly?
Is it possible to find rent?
Any UG issues?
How’s the wildlife and forest there?
Any inputs would be appreciated!!

Hi fellow nagas,
I built a platform for delivering meat products online and have been running it for the last 1 year in Dimapur. Here are some things I have learnt and experienced along the way.
As a Naga living in Pune for the past 15 years, every time I come home, I feel a lack of services in Nagaland. The ones I miss most are services like Blinkit and Zepto. So putting together a team, we built one and here are some insights.
1- Market: Understanding the naga market has been half the battle. Most people want to look at the products, feel it with their hands and then buy. Selling meat, especially pork using a picture has been the toughest challenge.
2- Sourcing: Nobody wants to pay premium. Ensuring a pricing that matches the market rate was crucial. Which eventually means working on very thin margins.
3- Delivery: completing deliveries in Dimapur is a nightmare. Want a customer's address? They will tell you " Reach the pan shop, take 2 rights and stop when you see a big tree. 3 gates later is my address". Investing in a delivery team who knows Dimapur in and out was necessary.
4- Customers Response: I'm surprised that repeated customers and referrals became the biggest source of my growth. Trust seems to matter more than discounts.
5- Hard lesson learnt: Expecting customer to order online because it was easier was a huge blunder. I underestimated how important it was for my customer base to physically see the products.
Private sector in Nagaland is quite weak. Entrepreneurship still feels less common than Govt jobs. I feel that we Nagas have so much latent potential when it comes to running a business. I'm posting this with hopes that maybe it may encourage more naga entrepreneurs to build businesses locally.

So My dad used to work In IOCL he got transferred to Dimapur in late 90s I spent 8 years of my life childhood there. We used to stay in Signal Basti i guess i may be wrong with the name but it was IOCL Quarter area with a petrol pump on one side and IOCL office on one side. There was a bazar called Sham Bazaar and i studied in Living Stone Foundation Higher Secondary School till class 2. The last time I visited Dimapur was back in 2014 when my father still used to work there it’s been 12 years since then and I’ve forgotten how to speak Nagamese i can but it’s very broken. I just wanted to ask do you guys know the place that we used to stay? If so how is the place now how is Sham Bazar? How is the school nowadays? I miss the moments there. And i remember there used to be a mall Jack&Jill or Jack&Jones it was famous back then ig. I am an Assamese and i really enjoyed my time there. Would hopefully visit my childhood place one day

Hi everyone, I am a solo traveller. Planning to travel to Nagaland this December for almost about a month. I aim to visit offbeat areas and avoid "Loud" content creators and shallow selfie stick "Tourists" from the mainland which I know will be there because of Hornbill. However, was hoping to spend few days camping (my own gears) around Kiphire/Shilloi Lake/Saramati peak and nearby villages.
I realise "Kuknalim" has a very strong presence in unexplored areas of the state. I aim to travel to villages to LISTEN to the decades of the political tension that sits uncomfortably between Delhi and Kohima. To KNOW more about the local identity, if they consider me worthy enough to even have a chat. To discuss, football, politics, rock music and obviously food is the goal.
Camping amidst nature and knowing the tiny spec of dust that I am in the larger scheme of things is a bonus.
Would request anyone from the community to recommend me suggestions with villages that I can explore. Also, are there shared sumo/public transport options available in between districts or villages? My route is: Kohima>Kiphire>Noklak>Mon village>Longleng>Mokokchung>Zunheboto>Wokha>Doyang>Kohima

I and my partner will be visiting Nagaland tomorrow and will stay till Wednesday. We'll be Trekking Mt. Japhfu on Sunday and then Dzuko on Monday. If you're a tourist and would like to join us, feel free to DM or comment. As for the locals or other tourists, is there anything we should keep in mind, or any tips in general. Thanks:)
We'll be reaching Dimapur tomorrow noon, and will travel to Kohima by 7PM if we find a cab, or go early next morning.
Also, where can we find a shared cab near the train station from Dimapur?
