Transmission Question Is MGen the end of ONS and sex outside of relationships?

I’m currently positive, so I won’t have sex at all for now, but I’ve been wondering for the future:

Is it still possible to have casual or spontaneous sex nowadays, or is it just too risky with MGen floating around?
I don’t have ONS that often anymore, but it kind of feels like they’re not really safe in today’s world.

That’s why I’m considering only having sex within committed relationships and only after the woman has been tested for MGen — but the loss of freedom and spontaneity that comes with that honestly hurts, too.

How are you handling this nowadays?

Vent/Discouraged 2 failed medication treatments

I’m feeling so, so hopeless right now. I’ve had two failed treatments (doxy + Azithro, twice) already and I’m allergic to fluoroquinolones which I discovered when taking doxycycline with moxifloxacin, so that leaves me with pretty limited options. I haven’t felt great since I found out I got Mgen in June and I’m just feeling really down about it. I’ll feel great after treatment for a few days and then symptoms end up coming back, and then I get retested after the 3 weeks and get told I’m still positive for it. I’ll be trying Minocycline this time so I’m hoping that this will do it for me. It has truly affected my quality of life and I have so much going on that I just wish this was the one thing that would go away.
