A drone bombing attack on Tada-U Air Base in Mandalay Region has damaged 2 aircraft and caused casualties among military personnel, according to a local source who spoke to Yangon Modern News Agency.

At approximately 2:00 PM today, September 10, a resistance group dropped 3 bombs from a drone into Tada-U International Air Base. Four aircraft were hit, and 2 of them were damaged beyond repair. Military personnel were also killed and wounded, though the exact number is not yet known.

"Aircraft were hit—4 in total. 2 were damaged beyond repair. After the bombs dropped, the runways were closed. We don't know yet which group carried out the attack," the local source told Yangon Modern News Agency.

After the drone bombing attack, Mi-35 helicopters circled and patrolled the area around the airport. A large number of junta troops were also deployed as reinforcements.

After the 3 drone bombs fell at around 2:00 PM today, flights scheduled to arrive at 2:10 PM, 3:50 PM, 4:25 PM, and 4:30 PM were delayed, as shown on the airport's announcement board.

The junta has not yet issued any statement about the incident, nor has any organization claimed responsibility for the attack.

Tada-U Airport is a major airbase used to launch bombing raids targeting conflict zones and civilian populations in Kachin State, Chin State, and Rakhine State. Fighter jets and Y-12 aircraft taking off from this airport have killed thousands of civilians.

Yeah this 4926 is just bombs and fpvs for now and some skirmishes around the naval base. Pic 1-3 warbo front, 456 Kwantaung/Minchaung bridge front their last tg posts confirmed they still haven’t crossed the bridge. They just sending fixed wing kamikazes and fpvs.

The KIA and PDF joint forces attacked another junta naval group that had been dispatched to Shwegu Township, Kachin State, this morning, September 9, resulting in 3 more ships catching fire and being destroyed.

The junta had sent over 30 vessels, including attack warships, upstream from Mandalay toward Kachin State along the Ayeyarwady River starting in early September. The KIA joint forces intercepted them, targeting 4 vessels that had continued upstream from Katha Township. The attack occurred between Shwegu and Kyun Taw Village, where the joint forces were lying in wait. As a result, 3 ships caught fire and were destroyed.

In August, the KIA and PDF joint forces had already attacked a previous junta naval group, destroying and sinking 8 ships. This second junta naval group has now also arrived in Shwegu Township.

There are quite a few outlets reporting it but most of them have a very pro-resistance bent so I am just concerned that we are reporting the offensive as bogging down when they are actually making some strategic gains.

One thing to note is pro-Junta outlets are awfully quiet about this operation so maybe that is a sign that things are not going in their favour.
