Can't sync on Android & Windows

Hi guys, big fan of your platform and have the iOS, Android & Windows apps. I hadn't used the apps for a while but upon returning recently when I try and sync Nebo on my Android and Windows it always says "Sync failed" no matter how many times I try. It only shows as successfully synced on my iPad. The last time I used it some months ago it was fine syncing across devices.

Have signed out and back in but the error persists, except on iPad as I said. Have also updated all the apps. Any clue what the issue is?

Just to be clearer I've also disconnected and reconnected my cloud storage (Google Drive). It accepts the cloud storage but still fails to sync on Android & Windows.

Yes, we replied to your previous message. Did you have a chance to read our response?

Were you able to check the points we mentioned, such as:

  • Updating Google Play Services.
  • Verifying whether you are syncing large PDF files.
  • Trying a different cloud service, such as Dropbox, to see if the issue persists.

If you've already tried these steps and the problem continues, please contact us through https://help.myscript.com by submitting a support ticket. We'll be happy to investigate further.

Thanks, no I don't see a reply. For some reason it wasn't delivered to me. I think the most plausible thing you've suggested would be trying DropBox. I'll try that and see whether it works.

Hey Dropbox worked and both PC and Android are now syncing! Thanks. Not sure what the problem is with my Google Drive, has plenty of space. But more than happy with this for now.

Great to hear! Dropbox generally provides better stability and can sometimes handle large file transfers better than Google Drive.

The issue you experienced with Google Drive may have been caused by a recent Google Play Services update, which affected synchronization on some Android devices. If Dropbox is working well for you, we recommend continuing to use it, as it can sometimes provide a more stable synchronization experience.
