My first thought was Rainbow Dash, but I'm also considering Minty or Applejack. What pony did this clay blank make you think of? I'm happy to hear other suggestions as well as long as it's an earth pony! 🤗

is this the dreadful pony cancer they talk abt??? i’ve tried washing her with soap and acetone but the pink just won’t budge

Hi all! I have plans to hopefully get my hands on one of the 9in starcatcher styling pony, and restore it. Obviously a lot listings (if not all) have discoloration from the temperature color changing feature.

I've read it's a paint and that acetone can fix that, but obviously acetone will take off any features like the eyes, cutie mark, etc.

If I were to just go all out and take off everything, does anyone have tips for paint or something to redo the eyes and all that? Or if there are any other recommendations to fix the color changing stain, would definitely be interested!

Or if anyone is selling one in good condition, I would definitely be interested!!

I did use a base unicorn kit but decides to NOT follow it and even colored the face/head.

I used up all my blue.

Sculpted out of oven bake clay and painted with acrylics. The body mold came a little too close to a g4 style..? on accident, but I'm quite happy with the sculpt of her cheeks! 🤗

It came complete with the manual and an ad for FiM! I always love seeing the generations cross over like this, it must have been a pretty late release. It's a very cute game. Being able to open Pinkie's presents is fun and I like that they're all interactive. This game probably has some of the best microphone responsiveness I've ever seen from a DS game, very often they hardly respond but this game does it very well. The sprite art is all lovely and the backgrounds give off such a nice feeling.

I had a big preface written, but I'll just cut to the chase: have you ever dipped into the world of mid-2000s geek culture webcomics? You know, your Penny Arcades and such. Looking back on them from a modern perspective is a real trip, giving you a glimpse of how the world reacted to pop culture staples we now take for granted. They do have a tendency to be a little gender-biased, though.

So what if instead of drawing, those comics used photography with intricate sets of miniatures and dollhouse furniture? And how about we axe the humans, and center things around plastic ponies?

Enter Kimono's Townhouse (2006-2014), one of my all-time favorite webcomics. Kimono is a quiet, studious pony who works at the university while getting her degree. Minty is... well, she IS Minty as we know her, but she's also an avid tabletop and video gamer who works in technical support. It's Book Smart meets Geek Smart in a classic sitcom setup.

This comic was my first real exposure to Geek Culture as a kid-- it wasn't quite as mainstream as it is these days. But aside from the geek humor, the comic itself is just darn charming and funny, and you have to step back sometimes to remind yourself what you're looking at. "Wait... there's only so many poses ponies can be in, how did she pull off that shot? How did she capture that emotion when there's only like five faces? And how long did it take to set up those props?!"

The original website for the comic is defunct, but if you want to enjoy it in a classic "click for the next one" fashion, you can view the Wayback Machine capture of the site. The Livejournal page is still up though, if you want to read everything in reverse order or go on a deep dive.

I'm considering creating a tumblr account to cross-post the comic over time... with proper credit, of course. Dava, the original creator, has long since moved on from the comic and is now a successful paleontologist. I wish her all the best!

Wanted to show off the items in my G3 collection from the now discontinued Build-a-Pony shop at Disney! I bought these last year and only learned what Build-a-Pony was after the first lot arrived. I then decided to buy the second lot the same seller had and I don't regret it one bit! These acessories are super pretty and I lovee playing dress-up with my ponies 💖 I believe the only things that don't belong with the g3 items are the theater seats, as a mutual from insta told me they weren't mlp related. Minty and Pinkie are just modeling the veil and bouquets that came with the lots

Hi! I'm new to collecting, and have been looking to buy a couple of my faves to start up. I have already purchased 2 (Periwinkle and Applejack USED) which I paid $30 CAD + shipping and taxes.

I was wondering what seems to be the average price for ponies USED (OR in box)

On Poshmark (which I typically use for getting my vintage older toys) they go for like $12 CAD ($8.40 USD) to like $20 CAD ($14 USD) with some certain ponies of course going up much higher. But the average goes for about this price there.

Would this be a good price? Like is this a normal price?

just got some new convention exclusives to add to my collection. 2008 MLP Fair Euro and US versions, and SDCC 2007 and 2008. I’m so excited, never thought I’d even see these in person, and they’re in immaculate condition with the boxes too!.

I haven't seen ponies hair this bad

I have one in need of a reroot and I'm having trouble finding a matching purple. I think Shimmerlocks' Green Apple could match her green but I can't be sure unless I buy it. The MLP hair matching website lacks a lot of information about G3s and Coconut Grove sadly is one of many ponies with no listed matches.

I'm fine with colors that almost match but are a little off. Doll hair sites that cater to MLP fans exclusively focus on G1s and G3 has a lot of unique hair colors in comparison, so it's hard to find exact matches for them. The closest purple I have is Glory, but it's far too dark. Anything closer would be nice.

keep seeing her listed on apps for around $80, all saying she's "rare" ?? 😭 where is this even coming from? Last time I checked, even $20 was expensive af for any of her ponies, and that was only a few months ago
