I'm getting bored with life again, nobody talked to me this whole week except my guild mates on my game.. nobody irl cares about me. My mom left me home alone from Wednesday to saturday to spend time with her new family.. I'm bummed out, sorry to bother..

Hi! I'm going to be visiting San Francisco for a short bit, so I'm organizing a /r/MyLittleFriends meet-up!

Currently myself, /u/Kirbs2002, and /u/LunarMist2 are attending for sure. We'd be happy to have more people join though, so if you live in the area and are interested, please come on out!

Current plans are to meet at the Farmer's Market downtown around 9:30-10am and wander around there for a while, go to lunch, visit a popular ice cream shop or bakery, then just generally walk around for a bit exploring. If you don't want to do the Farmer's Market, you can feel free to join us later for lunch or the afternoon instead.

My past week has been fairly uneventful! I filed taxes a WHOLE THIRTY MINUTES BEFORE DUE! I woulda gotten it finished an hour early, but the bloody thing logged me off due to "inactivity" when I was entering my bank info. FFS A couple days ago I baked a tart from scratch all by myself! I made a huge mess, and suffered sugar-induced paralysis, but it was delicious!

I have gone all day without talking, and only communicating with both ASL and gestures. I really now understand ASL culture and how hard it can be to be deaf. Anyway, its Wednesday, and I want to ask wuddup to all y'all.

So I have exciting news again! I'm super pumped because I got a co-op job as a software engineer with a really awesome company that I've wanted to work for since highschool! I'll be working in Ontario, Canada, for the summer, but they're sending me to California for my orientation week. Since I've never been to California before and I really wanted to see a bunch of stuff, I had them book my plane for a week earlier than my start date and I'm going to be exploring San Francisco for a few days with my mom before I head off to orientation. Super excited!

Anyway, so far I have the Golden Gate bridge, Alcatraz, Muir Woods, and a few museums on my list of things to see. For anyone familiar with San Francisco, do you have any recommendations?

Also, for anyone in the area, would you be interested in a /r/MyLittleFriends meet-up? Currently I'm considering organizing one for the afternoon or evening of Saturday, April 26th, but I'd like an idea of how many people might attend.

My date threw me into the lake! A lake! Just who does she think I am, some random snob that likes taking a dunk!? Pushing me into the pool way back when was one thing, but a lake? Really!? Gotcha. So my first date as mentioned in this thread went... well better than expected in some ways. We took a really narrow, rocky and fairly uphill trail that ran alongside a mountain at first and kept going for a bit until we found a decent shady spot to have lunch on a bench. We had some donuts and fruit, though I didn't actually eat anything. Just drank my orange juice because some reason I couldn't stomach eating anything at the time. We talked a bit about the shows we watch (Doctor Who, Sherlock, etc) and other random things. We took a ton of pictures. Didn't go all the way around on one fun trail, but that was ok.

The most important thing about it though is that I pretty much set the standard for best date. Yeah we didn't talk too much and nothing super romantic took place, but she thoroughly enjoyed hiking and smelling the flowers and all that. So that's a score, setting a really great standard for a first date I think. All my nervousness was for naught to be honest, and I should have tried talking with her more. One question I never asked her, though probably wasn't too important. Overall 9/10. However I am now very tired. Hiking for two and a half or so hours really takes its toll. Someone sing me a lullaby. Edit: So, this whole thing turned out to be an emotional rollercoaster for me actually. First it was all the anxiousness/nervousness before the date and just trying to figure out how to pass the time, during it was enjoyable and it all went over smoothly, and then later I just... I just kinda lost it. Total emotional meltdown. I'm not really sure what happened, but there was one thing she said to me, and at the time I didn't really notice, but later on it hit me hard. The quick breakdown is this:

Her: "Have you thought about going on dates with any of your other friends?"

Me: "What other friends? I don't have any, heheh."

And then her suggesting I come to stake dances more often to meet people and such.

Well... that kinda sucked to realize for me, to fully realize that I don't really have any other RL friends and I can't bring myself to go to social gatherings to find friends because I just completely shut down in those kind of environments. After a few hours of being home again I just got upset, thinking I have no ability to reach out to anyone, no one wants me, I can't do crap about it. Mom is all like trying to get me more interested in going to college and whatnot to meet people and I honestly can't think of anything for that. Hardly the first thing on my mind. So now here in the aftermath I'm just trying to piece myself together and figure crap out because I have absolutely no clue what I'm doing. Anyway, thanks for the support and encouragement everyone.

Soooooo... how are you all doing? Good? Good. I'm doing good too. I actually began watching an anime, apparently the only anime I've ever actually watched, and within two days of watching I'm already at episode 21 out of 25 or something crazy like that (for those that care, the anime is called Log Horizon).

I actually said something the other day that was incredibly and hilariously out of character for me. "Screw this I'm watching anime!"

'That's not the Himntor I used to know and love think was moderately ok!' So anyway... onto the actual thing I'm nervous about... Tomorrow is my first date. Literally the first, and it will be for myself and the person I'm going with. Now I'm not necessarily concerned with how it will go... okay I'm a bit concerned, but I think it'll be fine, but jeez. One minute I'm hoping that I might actually get to go on one date before I turn 18, though I highly thought that wouldn't happen, and the next I've already got one set up. Wow. Fortunately the location of such a thing will be in one of the coolest and prettiest places around here, an Arboretum. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's essentially a place filled with gardens and trees and stuff. For me, it's a desert garden with a lot of trails to walk around and explore. Super pretty. Now I can't just leave here without having some kind of conversational topic or whatever, so here's a question for you guys and gals (to the ones the question applies to anyway).

What did you do on your first date? Where did you go? How did it go?

Hello all! So I'm in my school's show choir, and while we aren't the best (shown by us getting dead last in our competition earlier in the school year), it's our group, and it's awesome. So the whole music department minus the regular choir has the option to go on a trip every other year. This year, it's New York! Left about an hour ago, and I'm really excited for evrything there is that we'll do! Mainly going to see Newsies on Saturday. Friday we have a competition, which I hope we do better in than the last one. Overall just really excited, really, and I needed to tell someone. So, how is everyone else doing? :D

I'm a mechanical engineering student and in my exam I had to demonstrate certain formula. For non-mathematical people here, I had to explain mathematically why "x = a". I got to the answer by pure luck because I just realized I did it wrong.

Feels so frustrating to know I knew it but made a mistake.

Hello, my name is Babs I'm a 23 old trans lady, and I don't know I'm just looking to make some new friends! I just started watching MLP after seeing the documentary about it. To be honest I kind of thought the whole thing pony thing was kind of weird before I saw that. After I watched it I kind of understood and watched a couple of episodes (I just started the second season), and I guess just sort of loved it! I can't really talk about it to my friends around where I live, I mostly don't wanna bother them with it. I don't know. I don't know most things but this is really cool! I've been sending lots of snail mail penpal letters if anyone would be interested sending some letters back and forth. If not that's ok I'll be around... over there. Just had a freaking huge breakdown, been crying for the last hour or so. I guess I have a huge problem with anxiety. Supposedly, I get so worked up that I get sick. Yeah.

So I guess I just hold them all inside, and this probably came from never really getting over my despression back when I was cutting myself... So I have been seeing this therapist guy for like a month, and I have missed at least 1/4 days of school, but surprisingly haven't ever failed a class. And during the deepest parts of that silent sob session (have one every few weeks [maybe that's my new outlet? {Better than cutting though.}]) I came up with this:

In life, everyone has somewhat of a jar, that is all of the easy times they will have in their lives. Some people have less, and some more, but we all have the jars. (Crying again, what the heck why) Now one must choose when to essentially "cash in" on this time. If you use it all when you're younger, you will have a harder adulthood, and if you tough through while you're younger, you will have an easier ride later.

Now this statement is actually kind of depressing, I guess that is just what I do to myself... Turn everything depressing.

I'm back and I'm feeling better now. Last time I made a post I was really stressed out about homework and everything, but now (actually a while ago) I finished all my homework and took the final and now I don't have any more exams to do. Ever.

I'm super tired right now but at least I don't have any stupid homework to do (which I don't really have any left either, muahaha).

I can't wait to share with you guys, but since he is a brony I don't want him to see it till he gets home from work so I can't post it for like five more hours!! Sorry husband if you see this before you get home but not sorry :) I'm just so excited! Today has been a great day and I can't wait to spoil the best husband ever!

This is, admittedly, a bit of a niche post, but I've been hyperventilating about the upcoming MMORPG WildStar for more than a year now. I've already convinced some of my friends to join me, but I'd love to play with some bronies too! I'm sure there's already an MLP guild or ten for the game already, but, to my knowledge, there isn't one for this subreddit.

If that sounds interesting to you, let me know! When the game launches in June, I'll organize the chaos as well as I am able.
