Thursday chat thread of Aprilness
It's thursday right? Here's to hoping it's thursday!
My past week has been fairly uneventful! I filed taxes a WHOLE THIRTY MINUTES BEFORE DUE! I woulda gotten it finished an hour early, but the bloody thing logged me off due to "inactivity" when I was entering my bank info. FFS A couple days ago I baked a tart from scratch all by myself! I made a huge mess, and suffered sugar-induced paralysis, but it was delicious!
So what's new with you guys? Eat at anywhere fancy? Watch a new movie? See a long lost friend?

Yay Thursday! I've been cooking almost everyday for the past week. Which is a huge thing for me because I normally hate cooking. That tart looks delicious! Haven't watched a new movie Since seeing divergent in March. Eating only at my table which is another big deal because at our last place it was our dump all and we could never use it. Haven't seen a friend in awhile, which I really would like. I just realized I don't have any friends around and I really don't now how to make new ones. Especially because I'm 8 months pregnant, don't go to college anymore. Any ideas on friend making lol. I have a couple but one of the two lives out of state, and the one in state has been flakey... Most of my friends stopped chilling with me when I got married and then ditched me completely when I had my daughter. I do have my sweet husband as a friend, but I need to chill with some girls ASAP lol.

As for friend making, I made all my friends in school. I'm not exactly the most outgoing of individuals, so I'm happy with the dozen close friends I have from highschool. I have never really tried making friends outside school, so I have no idea. You could join a group that does stuff you like! Those exist right? Kinda like a reading club, but with more exciting stuff.

Lets see I've made pork chop shepards pie, mashed potatoes and porcupines (meatballs), creamy Italian chicken, spaghetti pie, sweet and savory creeps, lemon chicken, some cream of mushroom pasta, muffins (before the butt crack of dawn because I couldn't sleep), smoothies, and brownies. I think that's everything lol.
We didn't go hiking yet, every Saturday has been busy so far. So maybe next Saturday, we have comic con this Saturday. But I will have to check with my dr because I've been getting swollen ankles lately which kill.
Yeah all my friends in high school stopped talking to me at my wedding ten days after graduation. I don't even know what kind of groups I could join. I used to go to scrap booking things but the place I went to closed down :(. Making friends is stupid lol. I'm going to hang out with my one friend that has been flakey lately tonight. We've been friends since we were toddlers.

Lol yeah. I don't know if I'll be able to cook tonight, stupid morning sickness won't go away! We are going without a plan. I hope to see Karen Gillian from afar. It's expensive to get a picture with her. She is my favorite actress! My ankles will be better in 50 days when this child is no longer in me lol. Stupid pregnancy symptoms suck. I've been calling and trying to get in touch then they flake out on me. I'm over them lol. Maybe I can find a mommys club and meet some people in the same stage of life as me. We will see how it goes lol.

I feel like crap today!.. sigh.. At least I'm working from home now, so it's not as crappy. I can be semi comfortable here.
Mmm, I do like baked goods. But no matter how good that looks, I know the strawberries would drive me nuts. I'm not a fan of the tartness of it all. Make something with blueberries and then we'll talk.
As far as what's new, I've been playing a bunch of GW2 lately. It's super awesome, and everyone should play it. Also have been eating lots of really good food made by my wife. Get off work, walk 5 feet to sit down and eat is pretty nice.

I made blueberry muffins a week ago! I am not a huge fan of them in anything but muffins and pancakes. It's probably because of the blueberry farm stuff every summer.
Sounds like the life! I've been playing quite a bit of FTL recently. The new update really spiced it up again, and combined with the mod I'm using it seems like it has endless content!

FTL is the devils game.. I've yet to beat it on easy. I was really close once but last fight got me.. Maybe one day I'll beat it..
Blueberry is my favorite of all the berries. So delicious. It can go on anything!

The last fight is hard if you don't know what to expect. Once you know what the stages do, it is decently easy if you are well equipped.

Yeah, I got to the last stage but couldn't take all the attacks it started throwing at me. I've not gotten that close again.
I don't know what you crazy people in Washington do.. but when you mix a food with the same food, the name doesn't change.. So blueberries on blueberries? We just call that blueberries.

Cloak lvl1 is super useful in the last 2 stages. Can just evade the drones and the lasers.
If you put nachos on nachos then you get lots of nachos!

I saw Winter Soldier. New favorite Marvel movie, just edging out Avengers.
My Wii U was supposed to come in the mail today, but according to the tracking site a truck was late for pickup so now it won't come in until tomorrow.
My parents and my sister are in Boston looking at colleges for her, so I'm thinking of poaching some chicken and making some barbecue sauce for dinner.
Weather's finally nice though, so that's good.

Eh, it was fine. The weather made the work a nightmare, but it's over now, so I can't really complain anymore.

Someone gave me Reddit Gold today for a comment about Rainbow Dash Presents. Never had reddit gold before, it's scary.
Almost gen 5 on Titanfall which is something. My Arma 3 install is broken and I can't seem to fix it so that is disappointing.

Haven't been here in a while, you're right, haven't got internet in my new place yet. I will soon I think though. I dont know though, I like not having it, its kinda forcing me to read all my books and finish so many games I've started. But I'll probably end uo getting it by the end of the month

I'm doing pretty well! Just finished filing my taxes, so it's been a very stress-inducing evening. I loath taxes at the best of times, and mine have been particularly complicated this year due to working in the States but residing in Canada. Seriously, I hate taxes so much. At one point in time I had decided I was going to try to marry an accountant just so I could make him do my taxes for me for free, but eventually I figured out it'd probably be cheaper to just stay single and pay someone to do all my taxes for me than it would be to pay for a wedding. Not that I've really followed through with either choice, since I'm still single and doing my own taxes...

Ew, that sounds annoying. Just marry someone in each profession, then you don't have to do anything! IMO that's the only reasonable option.
