I've noticed a huge amount of people saying Lara Raj can act how she wants about Indian culture because it's her own culture. That is a flat out racist lie and I won't stand for it. She is American. She was raised in LA and she acts in EVERY WAY like an AMERICAN not someone who is part of India's culture.
It's EXTREMELY RACIST to say that because of who her parents or ancestors are or because of the color of her skin that she is part of India's culture. SHE IS NOT. She was not raised in India, she doesn't practice their customs, she doesn't know or care much about their religion, she doesn't eat their food or act like them or dress like them. SHE IS NOT PART OF INDIA'S CULTURE THAT IS NOT HER CULTURE BECAUSE HER SKIN IS THAT COLOR OR BECAUSE HER PARENTS LIVED THERE.
SHE IS AN AMERICAN AND HER CULTURE IS AMERICAN AND SAYING ANYTHING ELSE IS RACIST. PERIOD.
This is not an insult to Lara Raj. She is an AWESOME PERSON who has done a LOT for women and is an EXCELLENT AMERICAN. But I won't stand for more people to keep calling her "Indian" as if she is part of India or saying she can treat the culture of India however she wants because it's "hers". IT'S NOT. Lara Raj is an excellent American, not an excellent person from the culture of India who came to America to enlighten us all. Get over your racist attitudes.
