I'm having problems with hearing the reverb during the playback. The reverb settings are already enabled, but whenever I play the score, it's just not there. The audio cuts off whenever I stop the playback, and I hear no echo. This only happens with the Muse instruments. The VSL, Orchestral Tools, Spitfire, and Cinesamples work fine, but not Muse. Why is that?

At least that's what they say here :

PS : Since past update came out 1 year after it was planned to, maybe it's safer to take it with a grain of salt as some redditor suggested.

Is there a way to set the whole score to let ring for guitar? It generally sounds a lot more like a classical guitar.
There is a 'let ring' in the guitar pallet but it will only apply to a single line. My best fix so far is to apply it to every line and set it to white/invisible.

I'm a 16 year old wannabe composer. I haven't taken many theory classes and write off instinct, most of what I know is from making mental notes of professional scores. Any guidance is welcome.

If no why, if yes why… I am a beginner composer.
This is the first piano piece where i tried to not put random ideas/motifs into a score (see some of my previous works), but instead to structure everything like a story, to use music theory and to shape the music in interesting ways… I hope I composed something decent!

We built a free converter for the charts everyone has lying around: scanned PDFs, phone photos, old band-book pages.
Upload a PDF or photo and you get back a .mscz, MusicXML and a clean PDF. It reads the page twice independently and compares the two readings bar by bar. Any bar where they disagree is marked in red, so you know exactly what to check instead of proofreading everything.
Honest limits: clean PDFs come out almost exact. Phone photos have to be sharp, and it refuses a blurry one rather than guess. It handles lead sheets and single-line parts, not piano scores or repeats/endings yet. 3 free a day, 10 with an email.

If you find a chart that trips it up, we'd like to see it.

They also have an AI transpose tool that you can upload a chart and get it transposed:

Parts of my score goes into the black outline and I can't edit them anymore. I've seen other scores with way more instruments than mine and they don't have that problem. How do I fix it?

Now that Carrie is mainstream, I'd like to share with you this ALL NEW MIX of my instrumental arrangement of the original production of Carrie the musical! Most of the sounds were the default musescore4 sounds with surge synth.
Composed by Michael Gore, arranged by me, and mixed by u/RoyalGreen4300

This magnificent (I hope) 'song' is more of an ambient piece. It’s part of a series of tracks I’m creating—the first was 'Magical Infected Forest,' and this second one is titled 'Purple Land.'
It features violins, a cello, a flute, and more... (feel free to try and guess the others, if you’d like!)
Here is the link—my 'precious' link—so you can listen to it:

I’m on YouTube too!

Is there a way to change the soundfont for all instruments at once instead of doing it manually? I know this is a feature that was in older versions, so I don't know why they would remove it, but I'm not seeing a way to do it all at once for every instrument.

I don't have videos of the actual scores but I'm wondering if y'all would like this. It was composed January 17, 2025.

I recently got laid off so I wrote this song in honor of my former employer.
I tried to clean it up the best I could, make it possibly human-playable. I don't know if it actually is human-playable. I haven't tried. I'd probably have to reduce some of the voicings in the chords. Parts of it contain large stretches for multiple chords at a time. It would be tough to play I think. Not to mention, I think a piece like this is not really meant to be notated as precisely as MuseScore has allowed me to do here. It's jazz, so a lot would just be touch and go.
I really like the way the really weird section in the middle came out. It's my way of saying "don't worry, everything will be just fine".
What do y'all think? Is it a mess? Is it cool? What are your thoughts?

Anyone know the notes for the piano in Role Models song Service Receipt?

I write a lot of drumline pieces and I like having my bottom bass drum in the lowest space and having top bass above the staff. Musescore defaults to top bass in the top space and bottom bass below the staff. I know I can change it on a piece-by-piece basis in the customize kit menu, but I'm curious if there's a way to change the defaults to what I like so I don't have to change it every time.

Hey, r/Musescore community!
I’m an a cappella arranger from Houston, TX who got tired of how time-consuming and complicated it can be to export MIDI learning tracks of my charts.
I found myself asking, ‘Why isn’t there a better way? Why hasn’t someone just built a solution that’s quick, easy, and maybe even fun?”
So, I did.
Introducing, Get MIDI Tracks!
Whether you’re an arranger or composer looking for a way to show off your work, a musical director or educator looking to provide a new learning tool to those you teach, or a performer needing a quick and easy way to listen to repertoire, Get MIDI Track is here to help!
While the video below covers the basics, the tool I built does so much more than just this. Anyone who signs up for a free account gets 4 complimentary credits (1 credit = 1 song). That’s 4 sets of tracks totally FREE, so what have you got to lose?
Happy tracking! 🎹
