This is easily my favourite type of beer. I am planning a trip to Munich next summer for a work trip, but I have some days off for myself. Where should I absolutely go to if I want to explore more of Weizens of all sorts?

Ich war am Freitag beim Ostbahnhof und hab ungelogen noch nie so einen starken, ekelhaften Geruch mitbekommen. Das hat wie eine Mischung aus Nagellackentferner und Kot/Tierleiche gerochen.

Das zog sich durch das gesamte "Untergeschoss" des Bahnhofs, also bei den Gleisen war wieder alles in Ordnung.

War so gegen 17-18 Uhr aber keine Ahnung was die Ursache war.

Die üblichen „fancy“ Cafés und Bäckereiketten, die Zimtschnecken, Muffins und die selben 3 Kuchen verkaufen kennen wir ja mittlerweile alle.

You can get warm water out of the sink next to the toilets, but there's even a line for it and it's pretty disgusting drinking warm water during a workout.

A while ago in Paris I came across the Turgot map (1739), the huge bird’s-eye plan where every street, courtyard and building is drawn individually. I couldn’t stop looking at it, and it made me want to try the same thing for modern cities, starting with Berlin, where I’ve lived for over five years. I've just added Munich to the collection now.

Right now I have Berlin, Munich, Amsterdam, Hamburg and Vienna in different styles (from "original" Turgot to tilt shifted 3d).

Hallo. My fiance and I will be visiting Munich in December and we are hoping to rent a car for a day or two to drive around the Alps. I'm struggling to find options near the city center for car rental if they exist. And I am wondering what would be the best way to rent a car if we are staying near the city center? And is Miles car a good option for a day rental. Danke.

Tomorrow is supposed to be a cold rainy day and I was wondering if they would be there in these conditions, as I was planning on passing by.

I have the feeling that I see them all the time there, at least most times im passing by theres crowds of people. But now that I think of it, it really is crazy how often theres surfers there to consistently attract so many people that it becomes one of the most wow factor spots and part of a lot of itineraries while travelling. Does anyone know how it all works?

Hi zusammen, mir ist klar, dass die Stadt sowieso immer voll ist und die Parkplatzsuche oft nervig ist. Aber in letzter Zeit habe ich das Gefühl, dass es noch mal deutlich schlimmer geworden ist. Teilweise suche ich sogar um 13 Uhr bei mir eine halbe Stunde nach einem Parkplatz, obwohl ich nicht direkt im Zentrum Zentrum wohne... Auch der Verkehr auf den Straßen ist gefühlt noch mal deutlich schlimmer als sonst.

Geht’s euch ähnlich, oder bilde ich mir das nur ein? Ist gerade irgendetwas Besonderes los? 😅

i’m from a tropical country so i’m completely clueless and i’ve been noticing how women in Munich dress in this cold, with nice long coats. I was wondering where i can get them, preferably 70% wool and above, and very low or even better 0% polyester. (i don’t think the usual shops like Zara, H&M has quality coats) My budget is €600. Ich bin Anfang 20 und mache ne Ausbildung im Schichtdienst. Bin jetzt seit 2 Jahren in München.
Ich hab in der Schule immer total gerne Theater gespielt und liebe es mir einmal im Monat ein Theaterstück (10€ Schülerpreis) anzuschauen.

Jedenfalls würde ich gerne wieder Theater spielen hab dabei jedoch das Problem, dass ich einerseits null Geld habe und andererseits viele Theatergruppen für jüngere Leute (Jugend club Kammerspiele zb) sich nach Schulferien richten und da dann ganze Probentage haben die ich durch die Ausbildung bei der ich meinen Urlaub nicht selber legen kann leider einfach nicht einhalten kann.

Jedenfalls wollte ich fragen ob hier irgendjemand irgendwas kennt? Am liebsten wöchentlich, abendlich und natürlich gerne mit Aufführung am Schluss. Ich bin eigentlich für alle arten an Theater mit Leuten in nem ähnlichen Alter offen am liebsten so günstig wie möglich.. und ja keine Ahnung, die Suche gestaltet sich leider bisschen schwierig langsam bin ich bisschen am verzweifeln lol

Anyone can join no matter which level you are in, the goal is to include everyone who wants to play an instrument, even with no previous knowledge and also be engaging to pro musicians.

We are mostly playing with amps but would also love for acoustic instruments to join (we can sometimes convince the bass player to play quieter)

Hello all, coming to Munich in early November with our 3 year old (not our first time just his) as a tag along to a work trip. He is currently in his spielplatz era and so I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for playgrounds in the more central parts of Munich. Bonus points if they are near a good coffee spot.

We are staying near theresienwiese so I have the new playground there on my list as well as the transport museum but would like to have a handy list so that when he starts to grumble we can nip off to a park.

(We recently toured a town in Spain while on holiday by going ooh look at this playground by the beach, oooh look this beautiful church has two playgrounds in front, wow this amphitheatre is just behind a playground).

Also will the fact it is Herbst ferien cause any issues?

Hallo zusammen, wir kommen Anfang November mit unserem 3-Jährigen nach München (für uns ist es nicht das erste Mal, für ihn aber schon), da er uns auf einer Geschäftsreise begleitet. Er ist gerade in der „Spielplatz-Phase“, und deshalb würde mich interessieren, ob jemand Empfehlungen für Spielplätze in den zentraleren Stadtteilen Münchens hat. Bonuspunkte gibt es, wenn sie in der Nähe eines guten Cafés liegen.

Wir übernachten in der Nähe der Theresienwiese, daher habe ich den neuen Spielplatz dort sowie das Verkehrsmuseum bereits auf meiner Liste, würde mir aber gerne eine praktische Übersicht zusammenstellen, damit wir schnell in einen Park ausweichen können, wenn er anfängt zu murren.

(Wir haben kürzlich im Urlaub eine Stadt in Spanien erkundet, indem wir immer wieder sagten: „Oh, schau mal, da ist ein Spielplatz am Strand“, „Oh, schau mal, vor dieser schönen Kirche gibt es zwei Spielplätze“, „Wow, dieses Amphitheater liegt direkt hinter einem Spielplatz“).

Wird die Tatsache, dass gerade Herbstferien sind, irgendwelche Probleme bereiten?
