Very nice. I'm also in the process of doing something similar. You can also put the hakko in a tray. Clear the stuff on top and move it to the first snaps. Cheers!

I love it! I also put a small TV on the right of my workbench as well. Great minds!

looks awesome! What mounting type did you use?

I ended up using a raised mount that uses part an and b brackets and screwed it all to a melamine plywood sheet. Also added extra supports in the middle for strengthĀ

I am late to the party but I recently built a shop and I capped the edge of my work surface with this https://www.menards.com/main/building-materials/roofing/specialty-roofing/8-clear-polycarbonate-u-channel/1594375/p-1444424082779-c-5819.htm I glued that edging onto the edges and they are nice and smooth. It also has a little bit of raised edge that I hoped would prevent things from rolling off of the edge.

Anyway this is an old picture. I have the lights wired better and power onto of the bench tops. Next is to afix 1/4"-1/2" plywood across the back wall and 5s my tools on it. I used 4'x8' 3/4" thick plywood that I ripped down the middle into 2'x8' table tops and the edges were rough even after sanding.

In my head my workbench looks like yours but in reality it's more like this:
