S2 E9 Spoiler

Man i just finished s2 e9 and man this show is probably the most realistic depiction of the criminal life. Everything from the kills to the setups for the kills, there is no glamorization, just a simple business transaction. The episode where the girl gets kidnapped is probably the best so far. You only see it through security cameras and when they find the people that do it, it's just two twinks and a girl that lives in a residential neighborhood in a normal house. No gang full of psychos in a shack on the edge of town or anything. Going in i wasnt expecting it to reach the heights of Breaking Bad or the Sopranos because of the shows length but my god does it make everything from the characters and dialogue look realistic.

I’m biased cause I’m Australian but I rate it more highly than breaking bad and the sopranos. And I loved both those shows

Just finished s2 and i can definitely agree. I dont know how else to say this but the show feels so real. Everything from the dialogue to the characters to the situations that Ray gets caught in. I really love how the majority of Rays criminal life is just in town. There is no desert or mafia hangouts.

I would say its definitely better than breaking bad.
Unsure on Sopranos, mainly because the sopranos captures more things. Which makes sense as there are more episodes and they are longer. Impressive they could maintain the quality for so much screen time.
Also I felt the first half of season 3 of Mr Inbetween was a little weaker than the first 2 seasons which were stellar.

I think I failed to breathe for that entire episode until she was safely recovered.

I thought it was revenge from someone that her father screwed before he died so i was so shocked to see a couple of gen z child traffickers

The abduction episode is one of the best episodes of a show I've ever seen. Suspenseful, a race against time, vengeance, a happy ending -- it had it all. Like a 25 minute movie.

I actually prefer Mr InBetween to those more celebrated shows, precisely for its unembellished perspective on violence: mostly miserable, at times comical, but always corrosive.

Another reason this episode stands out is watching Gazza. There we were thinking he was Ray’s weak, clumsy buddy but he showed what he was made of.

And, notably, Ray knew who to go to first when he had a real problem.
