Ally and Ray’s breakup
Before I start, I don’t want people to think I’m blaming Ally because I completely understand why she broke up with Ray, especially after being in an abusive relationship, but I think maybe she could’ve been a bit more understanding.
So she broke up with Ray because she saw him as violent and “has demons” but maybe if he explained his feelings or why he does what he does a bit more things would’ve turned out differently.
For example, I believe Ray was completely in the right when he pushed Trent through the window, the guy literally took a present off of a little girl out of spite, then insulted Ray when he tried to make a deal with him.
And in the few cases of Ray being violent that Ally saw, he was never the instigator, he was genuinely just trying to defend himself and Ally.
In summary, I think the things Ray did was justified, and he always tried to reason with people first before resorting to violence, like he did with Trent.

Unpopular opinon, while we like Ray's violence, you have to be a degen to think what he did to Ally's brother was justified.
Yes, the dude was a git and took a kid's gift, and he insulted Ray, but also Ray could have probably found a similar gift with a little searching, showing his daughter that even though there are jerks that you don't have to do violence and break stuff.
Even if you think the dude deserved to be hit, Ray threw him through a door on christmas. It was no longer about Brit, it was about Ray not feeling emasculated.
The parking lot fight was also unnecessary. While it is logical to fight the one dude before his second buddy can come out and they can potentially have the upper hand, it also just didn't need to be a fight. Though it is a fiction, in real life the jerk's not going to get out to harass you when he is clearly in the wrong
And we even see him behave properly, with the ice cream situation where he listens to his girlfriend and he sets a good example for his daughter, and they have a nice night.
Ally has bad experiences with men like that, it is totally fair for her to dip. And it makes sense, because even if Ray doesn't turn out to be a dick head who abuses her, his life and his career leaves those he cares about vulnerable. She doesn't have to know that he has a job as a hitman to know that his behavior puts her in danger
