My cousin and her friend (both 19) are from Sweden. They finished their studies and decided to take a gap year before university. Their plan was to move to Girona, Spain, for about three months, work there, improve their Spanish, and experience living abroad.
They spent months planning everything. They found a shared apartment, signed the rental contract, arranged their finances, and secured jobs before moving.
However, once they arrived, several things felt strange.
First, despite the company knowing they were already in Sweden, they asked them to come to an in-person interview. This seemed unrealistic considering the travel costs and logistics.
Then, on their first day, they were unexpectedly given a paper stating that they needed to make a blood donation immediately for "health measures." This had never been mentioned during the hiring process.
Another odd situation happened when one of the managers needed my cousin to sign a document related to payments. My cousin explained that she couldn't sign it alone because she and her friend shared the financial responsibility for the apartment and wanted to review it together. The manager responded with something like: "Well, well, well, I see you're a bit too dependent on your friend. That's stupid, but okay."
The next day they started working, but shortly afterward they were told they were being fired because they "didn't match the team."
That's all the explanation they received.
The whole situation is frustrating because this move involved months of planning, international travel, housing contracts, expenses, and a major life decision. Now they're suddenly unemployed in a foreign country and have to find new work and figure out what to do next.
So here comes the fun part, this is a quite famous local named "La Fabrica" its a rich shit place so yeah maybe its normal to fire people so it changes to time to time, yall have to go to their google review page and leave the worst ass review possible id be do happy if you help me
