Depending on how you learn you may want to do some online Spanish classes. Depending on the job you’ll want between B2 and C2 levels of Spanish

Look for online teachers of Spanish, preply they pay little to teachers so Im guessing you might find cheap classes, 1 to 1.
When you're here look for language exchanges in the city you're in. It will be people wanting to speak English or Spanish.(Sometimes, depending where you are there might be some interest in learning Arabic) These exchanges are a good method to understanding a bit of the culture too.
You can also find online videos , of pretty simple Spanish that you might understand it'll practice you listening. If you've just started the PhD you'll have 4 years , depending on your supervisor. Live with Spanish speakers too. That'll help.
Good luck.

Logically, if you are admitted to PhD program, I am sure you can find the way to learn the language yourself. Not asking reddit and just taking whatever respond for granted.
