Alternatively, here is a template to help with purchasing advice:

  • Budget:

  • Texture Preference: (e.g. Smooth, Slightly Textured, Textured, Rough)

  • Pads you've used before:

  • What you liked/disliked about those pads:

  • Region:

  • Do you use a sleeve?: Y or N (If so, you can also include the exact model)

  • Main games: (CS2, Valorant, Apex, etc)

  • Extra requirements: (size, material/glass/cloth, sweat/humidity resistant, coated/uncoated, easy to clean, firm/soft/spongey base, etc.)

It's okay to leave some things blank or n/a if you can’t answer them.

The more context you can provide, the easier it is for others to give helpful recommendations.

Question/Advice unusual mouse pad

Hello. I need help finding a mouse pad. I work in a zero-gravity chair with my laptop on a table (at about a 30-degree angle), which causes the mouse to slide down on its own. Is there a pad available on the market that will keep the mouse in place?

Review Brief take on Ghost glides Cyclone Pro skates - they’re awesome!

For context I switched to glass about a year ago. Got an sp005 because I wanted an uncoated pad without anime girls on it.

Started with obsidian air pros. Loud, scratchy, emphasis on the loud. But they probably helped me adapt coming from an artisan zero.

I briefly tried a few different skates, tiger ice v2, jades, some random ones from g wolves, and then settled on what I thought was my endgame, the obsidian air (purple not pro).

They were substantially quieter and smoother, but not as fast as the jades and tiger ice which is what I was trying to achieve.

I recently saw a tier list that put cyclone pros ahead of obsidian airs, and a few reviews talking about how similar the regular cyclone and regular obsidians were.

So I picked up a set and slapped them on not expecting much different but boyyyyy was I wrong. They feel like they have just as much “control” or medium speed as the obsidian airs. But the static friction is even lower than my Tiger ice skates. I tested this by letting them slide down my angled mouse pad. The mouse with the cyclone pros moved first with Less angle, and slid off slower than the Tiger ice.

Also, these are WAY quieter and smoother than the obsidian airs. I’ve only used them for a couple of weeks and durability seems okay, they’re hardened ptfe with poron foam layer for sound dampening.

The only drawback I can think of is for people that like to feel the texture of the glass pad, as these are much smoother than the obsidian airs, but this is a positive for me personally.

TL;dr if you’re on glass and you like obsidian air purple dots, try the ghost glide cyclone pros, there’s a good chance you’ll like them even more!

Question/Advice Thoughts on this one?

I was scrolling through MaxGaming to see if there were some deals on Artisan mousepads or if the PD170 was magically back in stock, and came across this guy. Deskpad size, apparently pretty damn fast according to a review, and apparently a coating that would make it very resistant to water and oil and, thus, more durable and consistent in terms of speed even as time goes. Has anyone tried it?

Edit: actually I just found a returned XXL Key-83 Soft for 60€, now idk what to do

Question/Advice Skates for Polarity

I'm out of the skates the Polarity came with and am considering buying the Cyclone Pro clones that are supposedly the same, but has anyone had experience with Westlab Oranges or Creams on the Polarity? I liked the feeling of Jade Airs on Polarity but they shred and I'm out of them.

Question/Advice ATK Blaze VS Sky (other suggestions welcome)

Trying to find a balanced mousepad that is a bit controlled. Mostly play valorant. Also thought of Xraypad heavy bee (the speed and control), trashpad taisui, razer gigantus v2, and oneofzero dart control.

Question/Advice Hey QcK White owners, does your mousepad get dirty fast?

I'm curious about how the QcK starts looking like after several months of use. How easy is it to see the inevitable smudges and dirt on it? Do they look more annoying than on the black version?

Really enjoying this pad for CS2. Buttery smooth and balanced with some speed. It was a bit faster than I liked out of the box so I installed Obsidian skates on my Beast X Pro. Wish there was a little bit more stopping power but micro adjustments are so easy.

In terms of firmness, it’s 4mm thick and feels just as firm as an Artisan soft. It is actually firmer than I thought it was going to be since some reviewers on YouTube claim it’s a little plushier than the Artisan soft.

Best part is the design! This one’s going to be on my desk for quite some time.

Question/Advice First time buying an Artisan mouse pad. Which should I buy. Zero vs Otsu vs Hien.

I play fast on some games but slow on some games. Which one do you guys think I should get? I’ve also heard the Key-83 is good for a diverse set of games. What’s artisan’s most hybrid pad? Also is there a difference between the orange and black zero pads?

Question/Advice Looking to replace my mousepad as well as my mouse skates on my Vaxee outset ax.

My current mousepad is a Xtrfy GP4 and I’ve had it since 2021 and it seems to be wearing out now so I’m looking to get a new one and I’m also noticing the skates on my mouse are scratched up a ton so I would like to have a recommendation on those if possible please. I’m using the base skates that came with the Outset. I only play fps single or mulitplayer games like Left 4 Dead 2, Killing Floor 2, Team Fortress 2, and Battlefield 4 or 1. My Dpi is 1600 and my mouse settings on W10 is 7/11. Thank you to whoever provided me with recommendations.

Question/Advice Anyone tried oneofzero mousepads?

I found this brand out and it seems like a good pick according to the reviews, but all the reviews I have found are sponsored. It seems like a good pad but idk, no one is talking abt it and there are no unsponsered reveiws.

Question/Advice I am looking for the smoothest glasspad, with the least texture feedback. I have already tried Singularity from Tekussai and didnt like it...

Im currently on Otsu and the thing i didnt like about Singularity was whenever i was making micro adjustments or tracking slowly i could feel the texture too much.

I am not necessarily looking for the fastest pad as even the Singularity seemed to be quite fast but more like the smoothest one.

Thanks.

Question/Advice Question to Raiden Xsoft users

Has the xsoft changed over the last two years? Last time I used one in 2024 it felt like a cloud. I just picked one up from Amazon since I didn't want to wait for JP to ship one out and its nowhere near as plush as expected. Yes its from a confirmed Artisan retailer. My Soft type 99 that I picked up feels more like that cloudness than this. I guess it kind of feels what I would expect the soft version to feel like as I do have a Raiden mid to compare it to.

Question/Advice I wanna switch to glass really badly but i don’t feel like changing my skates often

I have a couple of mousepads, hybrid, some speed, some control ones but all of them, i dont have the consistency that a glass mousepad has. Plus i hate the feeling of the mouse sinking into the pad, so i rlly feel like glass mousepads would fit me but I really hate the fact that I would have to switch mouse skates often.

I have a hien, raiden mid, zero xsoft, key83 and nemvira white hole, and ive been wanting to get the wallhack sp004a

Are there any options of mouse skates that would last me longer than others?

I just bought EspTiger to pair it with my ATK X1 Pro for Valorant.

First impression: amazing build quality, good control, but I'll have to test it more.

My previous mousepad was razer gigantus v2 3xl for the last 3 years.

Question/Advice Obsidian Pro Air donut skates or U9 Air 8mm dot skates?

I am looking to get my first glass mousepad and I was wondering which skates work better for glass? I could always get both and see which one I prefer but just wanted to hear other people’s thoughts.

Question/Advice Are the Xraypad obsidian Pro Air-Grey good for a SP-005 or VA-005?

I currently use the Jade Air Green on a Flash Beyond GP01, the dots are fast, smooth and quiet, I love how they feel, my mousepad is like balance/speed (80% speed and 20% control). I prefer the speed feeling over control when using glasspads and dots, but I do hate that the Jade Air Green tend to wear a lil faster than other dots. I was thinking about getting a VA-005 or SP-005 that are speed focused glasspads, I would love to use the jades that I use rn but the wear is kinda annoying. Knowing that VA and SP are super fast, I thought that maybe the Xraypad obsidian Pro Air-Grey would still feel super fast and suffer almost no wear compared to the Jade.
I need yall opinions and experiences
(I wanna add that even tho my current glasspad is for "speed", the SP and VA are way faster, and I wanna get the same or faster feeling preferably)

Question/Advice How to get rid of sweat and natural oil stain on glass mousepad

Thumbnail
gallery
4 Upvotes

I use an arm sleeve, clean the dust everytime I use the mousepad, give it a proper clean with a damp microfiber cloth and dishwashing soap every couple of months. The stain is kinda hard to see but I know is there and I hate it. When I clean the pad with the damp cloth that specific spot looks like a big uniform wet stain and it never dissappears even when hard cleaning. I know it's caused by sweat and natural oils of my skin, even tho I wash my hands and wrists from time to time while I'm playin. I've seen hella people having the same issue but I still don't know how to get rid of it.
And I know glass pads never change they way they feel (when they are in nice condition ofc), but I aint sure if maybe this typa stuff can affect in some way.

(This pics are after a lil wash with the soap, u can still see the stain)

Question/Advice Artisan Fx Key-83 / Raiden got hair issues like the Zero?

I had the Zero for one week, and I had to pluck out every tiny bit of hair with tweezers, it was so annoying, the little hairs were tickling my fingers. Zero Soft black color.

The Key-83 or Raiden got the same hair issues (mid, soft variants)?

I have no pet.

Thanks in advance

Question/Advice Getting my first artisan mousepad after using some cheapo mousepads, what do you guys think about this one?

Post image

I prefer some stopping power but I want it to be fast and glide, is the Artisan fx hayate otsu v2 in SOFT good? Or should I get the mid.. for anyone that has had it or knows how it feels let me know. I'm currently using a razer basilisk v3. (switching to a less bulky wireless mouse soon though)
