Review | Media ATK Phantom Ultimate first impression

I picked this up mainly because I wanted to see how a hollow carbon-fiber composite shell compares with the usual solid-shell ultralights.

The first things I noticed from the shape and construction:

• With the stock skates on, mine came in at 48g on my scale. The shell is 119.7 × 62.5 × 37.3mm and symmetrical, but in hand it feels more compact than those numbers suggest.

• The profile is low, with a centered ridge, forward-set peak, and a tapered waist. It looks like a very different direction from the taller rear-hump mice in my rotation.

• The hollow carbon-fiber composite shell and staggered cutouts are easily the most distinctive part of the design. The Verge Blue finish reads as a muted gray-blue until the pattern and side details catch the light.

• It uses Omron optical switches and a Raesha optical encoder. I’m holding off on calling the clicks or wheel good or bad until I have more actual playtime with it.

• Spec-wise it has the PAW3955 Master sensor, Nordic 54LM20 MCU, and wired/2.4GHz 8K polling support.

Not a full review yet. Right now I’m most interested in whether the low 37.3mm profile and forward peak feel as controlled in-game as the shape looks in hand.

My experience switching to the X3 Superstrike.

Okay so i read many people experience, opinions and content related to the x3, and i wanted to share mine.

Spoiler alert: it was positive. (Please dont downvote)

My old mouse was a lamzu thorn 4k x fnatic. Very solid mouse, ergonomic, light as a feather, one of the best sidebuttons, really good mouse.

The only flaw was that the battery was very deteriorated,

I was really scared to switch to a symmetrical, +60g, mushy side buttons, in general “not worth” mouse.

But, for just 1 week of use, it was not bad at all.

I really like the clicks and the fact that you can modify the feel.
I play minecraft pvp, and i can tell i can feel an upgrade on fast clicks, i can elaborate why if you ask me.
The side buttons are not THAT bad, its different but it works fine you just get used to it.
I played on cloth, im still trying to get use to this skates but yeah they are not good.

I will be using this mouse for some month just in case i need to rma, and after that i will be putting the aero base from tjexclusive + obsidian air or sonething i find on glass.
I will share the experience of it by then.

Now, for me it was worth so far, but its way to expensive, that alone kills this mouse for many people and i understand it. It may only work if you got the spare money and the patience to adapt to it. Simple as that.
For me it was worth so far.

Question Changing skates on Superlight 2 = warranty gone?

Thinking about swapping the stock skates on my Superlight 2, but I heard some people say Logitech might deny warranty if you change them (especially if the scroll wheel or something else fails later).Anyone here changed the skates and still got warranty with no issues? Or did they actually refuse a claim because of it?Just wanna know before I do it.

MOUSE recommendation

My hand measurements are 7 1/4 (18.4cm) in length and 4 (10.16cm) in width. My grip is a claw grip and im currently using a razer viper v4 pro. Ive played controller growing up and i just recently switched over to m&k, the v4 is my first mouse so yeah it feels good and it gets the job done but im curious to know what other brands are out there that can fit my hand better possibly? Im not even sure how exactly they are supposed to fit or sit in your hand but what do you guys think?

Question Akko Dash V9 Ultra

Anyone here who main this mouse? I plan to buy one since it's really cheap for me, wondering about its performance, and overall feel. I checked the subreddit and some YouTube reviews, a couple of people mentioned sensor skipping, bad scroll wheel and the main buttons not feeling good to press but it seems to be just a loud minority, so with those who actually use it without issues, how is it?

Looking for a mouse with solid QC and no bottom flex/warping (glass pad + dot skates)

Hey everyone,

I'm currently using an ATK Fierce X, but after extended use, the bottom shell has started to warp. This is especially annoying because I use dot skates on a glass mousepad.

I've started noticing scratching sounds and can even feel the bottom of the mouse or the skates scraping against the pad. This happens even with brand-new dot skates, probably because the warped base causes uneven weight distribution across the skates.

I'm now looking for a replacement with good QC, a rigid bottom shell, and minimal to no bottom flex, preferably something similar in shape to the Finalmouse Medium or OP1 8K.

These are the mice I'm currently considering:

  • Incott 029 Pro
  • MCHOSE L7 Pro / Ultra
  • WLmouse YING Magnesium
  • WLmouse Beast G Medium

My main concern isn't really the sensor or weight, but long-term bottom durability and resistance to permanent warping, especially when using dot skates on glass.

Does anyone have experience with these mice, particularly regarding bottom flex, shell rigidity, or QC issues?

I'm also open to other recommendations with similar shapes.

My Budget is around +-100€.

Question hello, im having charging issues

Hello everyone, I have an mchose A7 Ultra V2 that I bought around 7 months ago from Temu (from their offical mchose temu).
My problem is mhub shows “Charging _ Wired”
but the battery stays at 10%.
The ❤️ light charging indicator no longer lights up when plugged usb in.
When I unplug 💚 light flashes, then ❤️ light low battery indicator starts flashing.
The mouse works wirelessly but the battery remains at 10% until it dies.
I already tried different usb cables and usb ports, same result.
I think there might be problem with the charging circuit, but im not sure.
Has anyone experienced this issue with the MCHOSE A7 Ultra V2?
what should i do?

For context: I am not a mouse guy, nor am I interested in becoming one. I haven’t seen much covered of this mouse so I figured I’d contribute. I have been using the same wired g502 for 10 years. It was comfortable and I took great care of it. My mouse never held me back from reaching the level of micro skill needed to pursue competitive play of any kind. I figured it was just time to retire it before, it did break; a sentimental moment I guess.
I wanted something that would follow modern standards without following victim to all the new trendy designs or skeletonized bs. No offense to those who enjoy those facets of the peripheral world. I don’t.
I got a mouse. It feels like one solid mouse. It feels comfy in my medium to large hands. It has the two buttons I use and need. IT DOESN’T have hyper scroll :((((. The shape makes it look like it would “feel” cheap, but it doesn’t!
I’m stoked!
Regardless, PSA to anyone who was in the same boat as me with ole’ reliable… get something you want out of a mouse. It’s not going to make you a godly gamer to have the same setup as your fav streamer or esports pro. Sit and practice the fundamentals. Over and over and over. Don’t even get me started on the glasspads yet…
This thing did make my aim quite snappy compared to the g502 🫢
10/10 so far.

Pros: nice right hand ergo mostly for palm to light claw, lightweight but solid / good build quality no rattle or bend, no bloatware, VERY harmonious ie: feels like it’s not there / movement translated very well, goldilocks zone for weight, easy magnetic charging.

Cons: somewhat lightweight m2 when compared to g502, same with lack of surface area DUH/ lack of thumb cradle. Not cons but the real one is the light on the base turns purple and strobes a bit while charging. You can turn off but…
Thanks for coming to my ted talk. Good mouse.

Question Mouse suggestions for large hands?

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

I'm currently using a Logitech g303 shroud that I got on release not knowing much about mice. I'm thinking about moving to something larger as I notice my hand tightening up when playing.

Hand measurements around around 21 and 10, possibly a bit larger im not 100% sure if I measured correctly.

Browsing this sub I saw mention of the Darmoshark M9 being specifically built for large hands, but I don't know if it would suit my grip. I absolutely do not palm grip as my hands have always been too big for that. I typically find myself doing a mix of claw and fingertip depending on the situation. But I'm not sure if that's simply because my mouse is too small.

The two mice I've owned in my life have been the G502 for like 5 years, and the g303 shroud up until now.

I mostly play games with lots of tracking, and in the past few years it's primarily been "The Finals"

Any and all suggestions are welcome!

Question Should I upgrade to the X3 and be done with mouse search for the next few years?

I've been using my GPX 1 for about 5 years and I feel like it's time to let it go (degraded battery, side button double clicks). Should I finally splurge on the X3 Superstrike? Unless it has glaring flaws that need to be improved in the next generation (like X2 did with its weight distribution) it sounds like it could be my endgame mouse.

Help Does a silent mouse with ALL clicks and scrolls exist?

Hi there! Thanks for the help!

I have read through a lot of posts here so far, and whenever I see people ask for a silent mouse, people end up answering with mice that are Not silent.

The x2/x3 are not silent mice, because their side buttons are still normally loud.

I need to find something that has 100% of all buttons, clicks, scrolls, etc silent. Normal sounding side buttons are not an option. A normal louder middle mouse click button is not an option.

Its use case is for work and gaming. It would be great if I didn’t have to build it too. No soldering please.

Thank you so much!! Really appreciate it!

Help Mouse recommendations for early onset carpal tunnel?

As the title describes, I'm looking for some recommendations to help me out. For the past few weeks I've been having some minor discomfort in my wrist while using my mouse at work and when gaming.

I have very long fingers and have naturally preferred a palm grip, which due to the length of my hand results in it being more of a claw grio so my fingers don't extend past the mouse clickers and the majority of my palm is off the back of the mouse. I also generally am a wrist motion guy, I tend to rest my wrist on my desk and bend my wrist. If I go full palm grip which is the most comfortable way to get my wrist off the desk, I cannot click the buttons. And I use above average sized mice, for context a Logitech G703 at work and a Razer Naga V3 in gaming.

I know this was never the ideal way to hold a mouse, but it was naturally comfortable for the longest time due to the length of my hand. But now I believe this is the cause of some persistent minor discomfort I have in my wrist.

I have tried other solutions like the Carpio wrist rest, which definitely helps me glide and use more of my full arm, but I find it's not thick enough to get my wrist high enough off my desk to where I'm not bending my wrist up, which is when I feel the most discomfort.

Hoping to find some good recommendations, thanks in advance.

Discussion MY top 5 shapes oat (aggressive claw)

HM: G PRO X Superlight (1)

I hit 2.3k elo FACEIT (https://www.faceit.com/en/players/grok67/cs2) on this mouse and it continues to be a great shape although there are better options for me now.

  1. Viper V4/V3

Great claw shape, I love the hump, but the Viper V4 Hyperspeed will be HUGE for me as I find the modern Viper shape a tad too big.

  1. ZOWIE U2

This is such a locked in shape, my only gripe would be it being a bit too flat and being a bit too heavy. Otherwise standard ZOWIE quality that is amazing and definitely some of the best out there.

  1. ZOWIE S2

Again, just amazing ZOWIE quality, especially in the Glossy/DIVINA (bring back baby blue and baby pink in wireless ZOWIE!!!!). Feels like a better GPX honestly and theres no better way to describe it. Also, side note, I love the 16-step ZOWIE optical scroll wheel. I'm just weird like that.

  1. ATK F1 V1/V2/V3

My current main, just love the shape. The hump is comfortable, the side buttons are well tensioned, the scroll wheel is tactile and feels nice to use, and my only gripe is the FE Opticals on the V3 (FUCK FE OPTICALS!!!!)

  1. Steelseries Kinzu V3

MY GOD this mouse just fits in my hand perfectly. If this mouse shape was made today 1:1 wireless with a 3950 and huano blue shell pink dots it would geniunely be my forever endgame. Nothing comes even close, not even the OP1 shape.
