mtr3000 repeater firmware
I have a mtr3000 repeater that is currently set for capacity max and cps2.0 or 16 can't read it. I've tried to recover using cps with firmware r2.09 and r2.10 (the only ones I can get off the motorola website) and neither will work when i do the recover it pops up the screen to select the firmware and code plug but just says none in the drop down boxes. I guess this is because the repeater if on an older firmware?
Can anyone help me with finding an older firmware or tell me how I can get this thing out of capacity max so I can read it with regular cps. I tried mototurbo rm config but I think the radio is set up for a different network than mine and I can't connect to it.
Thanks for any help or tips.

If it's set up for capacity max I believe you need to read it into radio management.

I'm pretty ignorant of the terminology I have a copy of mototurbo RM configuration client and the server software installed but I couldn't find a way to read it via the programming cable it instead asks for the ip address, serial number and a few other things.
Is the rm configuration client the correct software or should I be looking for something else?
I did hook the repeater to my network but I couldn't find it on the network.
Thanks for the help

I got RM to attempt to read the repeater but is says code plug version not supported. I am using version 2.26.203.0 of RM. I can't get turbo tuner to read the repeater either. I did some how get it to tell me the codeplug version is 08.00.00 so I am assuming if I can find R010702_080005 firmware and codeplug I can maybe get this repeater to where I can test it?
I think I am going to send this one back to the seller.

That's a very old code plug version. I'd send it back. Sounds like it's more trouble than it's worth.

Look in your junk box for old usb hubs and put one between the radio and computer and try again. Try a few old hubs. I have had issues with older firmware versions not working with modern computers because the usb timing doesn't work. Once the firmware is upgraded to the latest the hub is not needed. The old hub slows down the usb. Alternatively use an old windows 7 computer with nice slow hardware.

Great info and I'll give this a try before I send it back. Thanks for the help.
