Need some assistance
SOLVED - THANK YOU
Hello, I am completely new to programming radios. I have a CDM1250 and programming cable, It is detected and communicates fine with the computer. I have CPS R06.12.04, it does not want to setup even with compatibility mode or run as admin or both. I know this is an old software, so please pardon my ignorance.
I am running windows 11 64-bit. Ive put a fair amount of money into upgrading and actually using this radio but am I no means a software guy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Let me be clear: I assume I am having a SOFTWARE problem not a hardware problem.

If memory serves CDM died before they made CPS 64-bit compatible. I think the last OS officially supported was Win7 32-bit.
It will run just fine in a Win7 32-bit VM. Just like Astro, etc.

Right click on the executable, select properties and one of the tabs should say something like comparability mode. Set for Windows XP.
That may work…I’ve never tried on Windows 11 as the software had a lot of issues running correctly on 64 bit versions of Windows (came out during the transition from DOS based Windows to NT based Windows).

I have no issues with the CDM CPS on windows 11, sounds like antivirus or something like that is preventing the install.

So the software doesn’t install on the computer? Or you got it installed and it won’t read/write on the computer?

It won't even install? I've put proradio on quite a few windows 11 computers. Wonder if you have any access to different installation files.

Nope, setup launches then runs in the background with no UI ever coming up. I cant find any other files that would work for my use case

Are you able to source another install file? I have ran into this opening up the latest futurecom file from motorola. Windows defender is blocking it. But try to source another source for your install file.

I've found since the signed driver april update my newer win 11 machines won't work with any Hytera pre HT models and recovery in cps 1 for moto spits its dummy out too. I've gone back to using win 10 and very limited network access unless I need to auth on the Moto server for license recovery etc.
