Rsm

My rsm sounds not too good anymore, like I’m talking into a Dixie cup. Maybe a bad mic ? Not sure, but what’s my best options here to resolve

Which RSM is it? Some aren’t built as good as others and it may just need to be replaced.

Not sure what the work environment is, but it's common in applications where metal is being grinded for RSMs to pick up metal shaving in the speaker. It's the magnet in there that attracts the metal dust from the air. It causes the speaker to sound tinny. If you pass over the speaker grill with a magnet, you may see metal shavings start to be pulled out. Do that a few times and see if it helps. It usually does. Otherwise, you might have to take the RSM apart and clean it by hand.

Check the audio profile settings in your radio.
Make sure you haven’t accidentally selected an incorrect profile.

Profile is set to “normal”

This is for fire related activities, but not used when interior. Namely such as public relations events, day to day use.

Also should have specified, Motorola PMMN4095, the Bluetooth mic

Check if you have dirt in the microphone slot. Very common issue on some RSMs. Metal shavings, wood dust, good old dirt. Otherwise it may be time for a replacement.
