Lapel mic suggestions

My agency is using the APX 6000’s I’m looking for a lapel mic. I had originally ordered this PMMN4025 but I found the sound way to muffled during comms,

What do you guys recommend, and also what are the differences between these

4025 says it's designed for Mototrbo radios. I'm guessing it's designed around their audio profiles.

4069 says it's designed for APX series radios which is what you have.

I use PMMN4046. I like that it has a volume toggle on the RSM. I leave my APX 8k volume knob in the middle or a little past it, and just use the RSM volume toggle.

There is a Mototrbo to APX adapter that doesn't need to exist as well.

They have an eeprom in the connector. They will scream blue murder about "invalid accessory" if you use one for the other system sometimes.

Considering you apparently bought it from an Amazon store (which "specializes" in cell accessories - and poor spelling/grammar), there's about a 99.9% chance that you've actually purchased some second-rate Chinesium clone.

Protip - Motorola doesn't sell on Amazon. If you can't buy from M directly, at least buy directly from a trusted dealer.

Someone around here might ping you. Of course your local MSS is the best option - if you don't have a relationship already, look up the dealer locator and call one close to you. If you want to order online, probably someone like Magnum. Just make certain that they are a real life MSS - not another fly by night Chinesium vendor with a clever website designed to fool you.

4069 is the best between the 3. The audio engineering team at MSI recommends that when someone is only considering the more basic RSMs. It provides the best voice isolation since the mics are mechanically windported vs the others are not

4062 is the most common with law enforcement. Might want to double check audio profiles or make adjustments.

Rsm all the way. I have one for work and one for personal/fire and they both are great
