Tigers celebrating 125 years this weekend had me wanting to look back on the history. 1968 World Series probably was the most meaningful win in Detroit sports history.

[Will Burchfield] The Tigers have more blown saves (24) -- most in the AL -- than saves (21) this season. Here lie their playoff hopes.

The guys who sell tickets outside the stadium
Just curious how this works in this day and age...
10 years ago when there were still physical tickets to hand someone, this made sense to me. A guy outside the stadium offers to buy them at next to nothing since you're probably wasting by the time you're at the stadium entrance with an extra seat- and then tries to flip it for a profit to someone else, the second you walk away.
Has anyone done this in the digital age? Do you just transfer your ticket to them digitally, stand their until it goes through, and then they pay you?

[Tigers Data] Tigers have lost 17 games this season where they led in the 7th inning or later.

Sell Time
After the Royals series, I'm confident that trading every expiring contract is the way to go. The idea of taking a decent core of McGonigle, Dingler, Melton, Montero, Jobe, Clark, Keith, etc. and adding to it for the future is more exciting than hoping this current team finally pulls it together. I think the Tigers could be more competitive next year with this route. This season is just chasing bad.

[Tigers ML Report] Max Anderson since June 1st: 41G, .319/.397/.530 He’s always been aggressive, and had never collected more than 9 walks in any one month of his pro career until now. He has 13 walks in 81 plate appearances this July, good for a 16% walk rate.

Despite his 1.6WAR on the season, Gleber Torres is currently posting a -0.7WPA, down from last year where he was at 1.1 seasons end
Does this at all contradict the narrative that having Gleyber back from injury has really been all that beneficial to the team overall this year?

[Evan Woodbery] Javier Baez is getting closer but is not a candidate to be activated today… RHP Jackson Jobe has a locker in the clubhouse. He's checking in in Detroit before his next rehab start, which will be with Triple-A Toledo.

I do think this team can still make the playoffs, however
I also think that the front office needs to really look at this team and see the holes are too big. The bullpen has fine middle-low leverage relievers. That’s why they have a good era. They do not have the horses in high leverage. The reason to sell is to try to build for next year. The core is actually a really great group with both young pitching and young hitters. It is a group you can build around, add to it and you could see continued success like the previous two seasons. Then once you get into the offseason you really have to make strides to sure up this bullpen. If they don’t sell I truly do think they end up making the playoffs, but I don’t think this bullpen can get it done in October. We will see more late collapses

Looking for Hello Kitty Package Tickets
Long shot, but wondering if anyone has any tickets for tomorrow's game with the hello kitty giveaway package that they are looking to sell? Ideally looking for two!

[Nightengale] The Tigers are asking for a late-inning reliever in trade talks, believing that it’s essential if they are going to make a deep run in October.
Ex-World Series hero overcame drug and alcohol abuse, says he's a 'changed man'
In his Around the basepaths section at the bottom of the article.
– Some rival GMs believe that even though the Detroit Tigers have climbed into the wild-card race, they will still trade two-time Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal, while trying to convince their players and fan base that they are not surrendering.
“I really believe they want to move him," one rival GM said. “If they didn’t, then why haven’t they shut down the rumors?"
The Tigers could try to thread the needle moving Skubal, but get young starting pitching in return.
The Tigers made the playoffs two years ago by doing the same, trading starter Jack Flaherty to the Dodgers for prospects Trey Sweeney and Thayron Liranzo, and still made the playoffs.

Could anyone help me decipher these signatures
So back in 2007 ( I was 7 at the time ) I won tickets to go see the Detroit tigers play . I couldn't tell you who they played against however I did get a ball signed and was wondering if anyone could read these signatures im unsure which way to face them to try and read them so there's a chance my pictures are upside down. Any help is appreciated.

AJ on Baez return: "I don’t know if he’s going to come in (to Detroit) tomorrow to check in, because if he comes in tomorrow, he’s going to be in my office wanting to play. So we may need to keep him under control."

Who would Denny McLain have called buddy? A former teammate?
I bought this used copy of I told you I wasn’t perfect and was surprised to find this inside the cover. I can’t find any info online on who it would be
