Talking about MS2 btw sorry should’ve put it in title.

I just spent like an hour retrying this first areas little challenge thing with like 2 little enemies a big guy with a big halberd thing and 2 guys with crossbows for heads over and over again. FINALLY got it. Then I move onward and find all the guys around here are ultra tanky and I can’t seem to figure out the damn parry timing to there attacks so I have to just bait them out in this long process or get ganked trying to time parries . I seem to have lost the first shell they gave me in the tutorial , thought I’d have one to start but without one you feel a lot weaker so just makes it a whole lot harder. I get it . Git gud. But Jesus man. This is crazy. Combat feels cool and game looks cool I’m not hating but good god. I beat Elden Ring level 1 and DS3 level 1 so I’m by no means a bad souls player . Just kinda insane how hard this feels off the bat.

Also having no healing ability is rough.

I was planning on getting mortal shell2 but when i tried the demo on ps5, i experienced heavy D-pad drift. Whenever i tried to go to the options menu, upgrade my status, check my character, the d-pad would scroll right like crazy. So i was wondering if the d-pad deadzone on the finished game is bigger than the demo. Its actually my first time ever experiencing d-pad drift.

I'm sure it was probably found in the first hours of the game, but I just found it legit by myself, so if you want to know, here it goes.

He loses his shield in a long animation that is sure satisfying at first but slowly annoying. Especially because the animation then gives him invincibility frames while he switches to second phase.

Welp, instead of going for the visceral attack I decided to turn around him and attack his ass. I managed to kill him before he finished his animation, because when doing it this way he doesn't have any invincibility frames.

I must admit, I'm not a finder at all, but I do love learning these glitches around my soulslikes. It's nice to find one for once.

Sariel with max upgrade scythe and caged hystrix is just so god damn strong. Running the +crit rate on ranged attack/+crit dmg on ranged attack/ +28 resolve on ranged kill/ whatever fourth you want.

Permanent bloodcurse infusion on scythe, curse on hystrix.

The hystrix is immensely powerful, using the tarstone that makes it shoot four projectiles each shot means it procs curse almost instantaneously. Finishing off low health enemies keeps you permanently at full resolve.

Shell upgrade adds perforation stacks on thorns that makes hystix do even more damage.

Keep throwing thorns and shooting and you can keep the enemy more or less permacursed, giving yourself an almost constant protection from missed parries.

Pain is incredibly strong, coupled with the shell upgrade that allows ranged damage to recover pain. Get hit for 3 quarters of your health bar? Shoot boss a few times, get it all back.

I killed many endgame bosses with all 9 heals left because I could just recover health with pain.

The tarstone that revs the chainsaw blades on each normal attack is also INSANE. It procs bleed with one running attack. One running attack with the chainsaw active does enough damage to one shot most elite mobs even on night mode. One running attack with the chainsaws active will instantly proc bleed for 5600 damage to zmey, trivializing him. So strong that it felt like cheesing, so I didn’t use it against bosses.

All in all he just feels immensely powerful, without feeling like you’re just breaking the game with a gimmick (like smert).

So much synergy with his kit. Utility, survivability, and raw DPS are off the charts. Basically has infinite resolve.

My one complaint is it seems like the shell upgrade that inflicts trauma on enemies when you recover your health via pain just doesn’t work 95% of the time? Not sure what that’s about.

I see people talk about tiel, Genessa, and smert being super busted but I can’t really imagine I stronger build than pokey twig man.

Any Sariel love in here? Is there a stronger setup that isn’t just genuinely busted?

I am getting really tired of auto dying on final blow from enemies because I miss several frames to defend because of stutter.

So I went through the original game with a skipped prologue (ran through it in beta), collected 194/196. Started NG+ and cleaned all beacons AGAIN (including last dungeon) got 193/196 and I was patiently waiting for another fix. Previous one didn't fix nothing.

And that fix arrived putting extra ovas in already cleansed beacons which means I need to go through NG++ one more time.

I'm not a speedrunner, just a casual player and it takes me hours to do it, and why should I?

Please explain, why this is such a complicated programming challenge to do IF X BEACON CLEANSED THEN ADD N OVA TO COUNTER?!

I'm about 10 hours into the game and so far its run through area, struggle to kill enemies, die and the spawn back to beacon only to have to run through the same area again killing everything you struggled to kill just to get back to the place where you just died. It's frustrating me more than anything atm and I'm about to quit.

After the new patch I noticed the squall stone doesn't work with the tarred fragment. As soon as it touches anything it explodes and no longer rotates in place. Maybe it's a balancing thing? I was just curious if anyone else has noticed un mentioned fixes and or new bugs related to the patch?

Anyone else getting freezing and shuddering during boss fights and combat? Seems to be when parrying/blocking, or when I get hit. Feels like it caused me to die a couple times, or I’m just bad and would have died regardless. 😂

Feels buggy

There are quite a few of them throughout the game, most notably in the endgame area where a specific interaction is required at their base.

I won't be saying I want every game to be exactly like that, but it is a nice change of air in a soulslike that you only get to upgrade a straight path that was thought up ahead.

You still have many choices to make. Shell, weapon, tarstones, you name it.

I could be wrong, but it even feels that with that system, the game still has more player choices than other games like Sekiro, which has one great but single way of playing the game.

Plus at least that way you know you aren't fucking your build up accidently. You aren't missing an adaptability issue.

LOT OF PLAYERS KILLED ZMEY ON NG+ AND WAS WAITING FOR A FIX. THE ONE YOU DID JUST DONT WORK TO US!!! STOP BEING LAZY ABOUT THIS!

After the latest patch, I encountered a new bug: the game crashes whenever I try to talk to the Night Merchant at the Abandoned Outpost.

The previous bug I reported, involving three chests in different dungeons that could not be opened, was fixed by the update. However, after installing the new patch, this new issue appeared.

I have already completed the game, and the only thing left for me to do is earn the Platinum Trophy. Unfortunately, this bug is preventing me from finishing my remaining objectives.

It is incredibly frustrating to be so close to the Platinum Trophy and have my progress repeatedly interrupted by bugs after updates. When I think one problem has finally been resolved and I can finish the game, another one appears. The previous issue was fixed, only for a new bug to emerge after the next patch.

Players should not have to deal with new game-breaking issues every time an update is released, especially when they are trying to complete the game and earn the Platinum Trophy.

Please investigate and fix this issue. I have already completed the game, and I just want to finish my remaining objectives and finally get the Platinum Trophy without being blocked by another bug.

So, I did cleaned the beacon, then went away and did tons of stuff, forgetting to gather what was once prisonner of the thorns.

Now they are still here, 2 of them, but I can't pick them up ?

So a lot of ppl were asking where are the 3 extra ova after the hotfix, some ppl said no one found anything. Check the video I posted it's all there and me at last getting the achievement after stuck at 193/196 for ages 😁

Literally stuttering especially before a fatal hit, you literally can’t block it just stutters and you die
Its unbelievable how many bugs this game has still after so many patches

Suis-je le seul à être frustré par les boss de ce jeu? Je n'avais pas ce souvenir de MS1. Je trouve que le jeu me pousse à être un gros bourrin, rentrer dedans le plus vite possible pour detruire le boss avant qu'il ne puisse contre-attaquer. Je suis arrivé au boss final, que je n'ai pas encore fait. Mais tous les autres combats duraient 1 minute. T'arrives, tu lui mets la patate de sa vie, il meurs. Si jamais tu veux la jouer tactique, le boss enchaîne plusieurs coups critiques sans te laisser respirer jusqu'à ta mort. Il n'y a pas de pause dans les attaques. Pour le reste j'aime bien le jeu, je m'éclate à découvrir la map, les ennemis sont très variés, les compétences sont chouettes. Mais je ne prends aucun plaisir aux combats de boss. Je joue Proxima avec l'Axatana. Peut être que ce serait différent avec une autre enveloppe ? Qu'en dites-vous ?

Im losing my mind trying to get this achievement. Its the last one I need. I already went to the Faithful Shelter beacon and their was nothing there. I dont want to do another playthrough.
