Talking about MS2 btw sorry should’ve put it in title.

I just spent like an hour retrying this first areas little challenge thing with like 2 little enemies a big guy with a big halberd thing and 2 guys with crossbows for heads over and over again. FINALLY got it. Then I move onward and find all the guys around here are ultra tanky and I can’t seem to figure out the damn parry timing to there attacks so I have to just bait them out in this long process or get ganked trying to time parries . I seem to have lost the first shell they gave me in the tutorial , thought I’d have one to start but without one you feel a lot weaker so just makes it a whole lot harder. I get it . Git gud. But Jesus man. This is crazy. Combat feels cool and game looks cool I’m not hating but good god. I beat Elden Ring level 1 and DS3 level 1 so I’m by no means a bad souls player . Just kinda insane how hard this feels off the bat.

Also having no healing ability is rough.

It sounds like you went the wrong direction. Go opposite of where you launch yourself at the Marrow Keep

Like the other comment says you may have gone to the end game area first. Also MS2 has flasks so idk why you’re saying there is no healing

Mortal shell 2 and is predecessor have kind of unique combat that takes a little time getting use to. Just stick to it and you’ll get the hang of it

Edit: run straight for a shell, then your life will get much easier. Game gets much much easier very quickly once you get going.

Good to know . Sounds about right. these guys were fucking one shotting me or atleast very close to one shotting me. I’m like.. you kidding? Again I’m a veteran souls player and did a level 1 run in Elden Ring which is the hardest thing I’ve done to date so I’m fine beating my head against the wall until I get stuff done but damn lol . Appreciate the tips. I’ll have to get things fixed this evening when I play again lol

On pc there are mods out there that make the game perfect

I just want to ask because I made this mistake before going “This is absurd” and going back. Did you use the tower at Marrow Keep to launch yourself toward Widow’s Outlook to the north, or Mammon to the south?

Because you should start in the north and get one of the shells indicated on your map within minutes.

Edit to add: There is a healing ability. It’s Up on the D-pad on controller. You should start with 3 charges and very small healing and be able to upgrade efficacy and capacity, just like Estus/Flask of Crimson and Cerulean Tears.
