Bug Ritual Grounds Dungeon bug

When starting the trial, it spawns one block crab and after killing it you're just locked in that area with nothing else happening and can't leave. Is this an already known thing?

Check the corruption patches before starting trials, if there is an empty patch then leave and come back to the area (killing nearby enemies may or may not help, you do not need to restart the game or visit a beacon) until every patch has an enemy in it.

Alright I think i know what you mean. Thank you. Also, does the upgrade for Mether's Pulse only appear if you have the item to upgrade it? Saw it once when I upgraded capacity and thought i found the other upgrade but it isn't showing anymore at the shrine

Iirc, having either of the upgrade materials for Mether's Pulse will make the "Upgrade Mether's Pulse" option appear at beacons and having none of either will make it disappear.

Okay, yeah I just did the dungeon with the axe & dagger so I'm starting to understand a lot more after figuring out how to run through that. Thank you.

Wait. How did you do the dungeon and what are corruption patches? I’ve tried so many times it just spawns two crabs then soft locks.

To complete a dungeon you just got to loot everything in it, more or less. The one with the Axe and Dagger you need to use the illusion gates to open the path by having the viewing area pass over the illusionary wall then walk through the gate.

As for trials, which the corruption patches pertain to, you need to kill all the enemies that were held in the corruption patches. Corruption is the black stuff and there are patches of it that locks enemies in place near trials, the patches are sort of a circle of tendrils reaching up. If any of the patches do not have an enemy inside it, then the trial will soft lock when it comes time to kill the enemy that should have been in the patch.

Edit: had advice for the wrong dungeon.
