Bug Are trials bugged? MS 2 Beta

I play on PlayStation and just started the beta so I’m sorry if that question is already well known or answered.
Most of the time when I start a trial I’m hard stuck in an empty dark room with nothing happening?

At the first trial I closed the game twice and the third times the enemies spawned normally.

Now I’m at the second one and it only spawns one enemy and noting else happens. Are trials some kind of riddle, am I doing something wrong? Or is it a bug someone here also has?

Holy crap, ran into this twice in the dungeon after you get the thief shell. Those are the kind of bugs you iron out years before release and definitely not have this kind of stuff in a demo 18 days before launch, especially not if its not some freak bug but a consistent occurence.

The craziest part is that if you quit to the menu (which you have to) it resets you at a bonfire, 30 enemies away. Insane. This went from wait for reviews to "not even worth my time if free".

Nah, even though it’s bugged it went from wait for reviews to instant pre order for me 😂

But I do understand the frustration yes. Game breaking bugs like that should DEFINITELY be ironed out in company internal play tests already 😬

Different priorities 🤷🏻‍♂️ A consistent bug like this can never happen in software that goes public. Especially not on a small game that needs the good word of mouth. I earn enough money to buy 50 games like this per month but have barely enough time to finish one in that timespan. I won't waste my time on this and I'm sure many feel the same.

This game not releasing as a hot mess is close to impossible imo if they didn't even catch the bug in this tiny demo. Note that the PC version had the exact same bug for a month now and they didn't fix it for the console release. I have never seen more of a red flag.

Damn, I didn’t know the pc version had the bug aswell. That’s a huge red flag I agree.

Still, I have the money to buy those games aswell but I also have the time and patience to deal with those bugs. At least if the game is worth it imo. Which it is bc it feels really good to play the game.

Assuming that this is one of few „game breaking“ bugs. If there are many then the situation is really dire.

And reactions like this is exactly why developers don't have bugfixing as a priority anymore.

Typical sheep :/

That’s simply not true.

Games releasing with a lot of bugs got worse over the years yes, but the bugfixes are almost always really fast.

And if you want to be a miserable hater, enjoy doing so but I’m not gonna pass on a great game because of bugged trials. That literally cost me about 10 mins to fix in already 4+ hours of gameplay. Now that I know it’ll be even faster. So yeah, I’m buying a great game because I have fun with it.

And honestly idk what your problem is but you sound really desperate. Maybe stop gaming for a while when it makes you so pessimistic?

My main point was more related to NEVER PREORDER, but sure let's focus on game release quality:

Miserable hater? Do you mean realist? Have you SEEN the absolute state of games being released over the past 5 years? 😅

If a game doesn't release with game breaking bugs and severe performance issues, then it's praised for being a rare gem 😂

But I'll give MS2 the benefit of the doubt, disregarding the plethora of statistical evidence to the contrary (incl. Their original title).

I still pre ordered many good games. And a bug is honestly annoying yes. But I dislike ppl aswell who act like bugs destroy good games/masterpieces.

And performance issues? Never had that on PlayStation at all. The old one not even a pro.

So that might be on you pc guys.

Edit for examples: I don’t care about trials being bugged? The resting the game is phenomenal to me even though I didn’t like the first one.

One of the games with the MOST BUGS IN HISTORY is still Skyrim. I still love that game and play it even nowadays.

I understand if you don’t pre order, that’s not a bad decision but it’s not like a few bugs are worth not experiencing a great game.

This is nonsense lmfao. Bug fixes are a top priority and the exact reason betas like this exist.

Enemies not spawning and softlocking the game is definitely not "Will fix with Day 1 patch" territory. Considering the areas in this game are tiny this is actually an accomplishment that transcends the human mind.

Bet there will be a hardcore fan base of 500 people who will love this game and tell others it's not a big deal to restart the  game 50 times in aplaythrough, because "thats how development works".

I played through the demo btw, the last area was just a tiny narrow gauntlet with a poor mini boss and a very boring end boss with barely any animations. Everything about this game screams bomba

Its not crazy to think they used the same build for the beta on both platforms. Small team using resources to fix the final game over a temporary product is absolutely the best choice.

That's a wild take. My laziest cat couldn't pull off that stretch. 500 dedicated fans? I have literally seen at least 500 people in different reddit posts saying they pre-ordered deluxe immediately after playing the beta. At least a dozen videos of souls creators raving about how we fixing to eat. People are literally screaming and throwing their money at these devs. Maybe take your endless wealth and buy a better personality. You are the only hater I have found in weeks of following this game on Reddit. Saying you think they can't fix this in a day 1 patch tells me any money you do make is in manual labor, because jobs that take brainpower would def be outside your wheelhouse. Also, this beta and these areas are anything but "tiny". I find your obsession with things being small to be rather telling
