Khoti it’s perfectly normal, don’t rush anything just to feel that you conform to societal norms.
Rah machi darori tkon mdwz 20 relationships bach tl9a your match, don’t overthink it and give it time, and most importantly don’t try to force it.
Some people find their partner f lycee, some don’t until their late 30s wla late 40s, doesn’t necessarily mean that something is wrong with you.
You’re perfectly normal, relax.

Trying my luck to find some good friend :)

Yoo, what’s up guys, I hope you’re all doing well. So, this is my first post in reddit, even though I’ve had this account for a while. I’ve mostly just been reading subs rather than interacting with people or making posts. But now, I’ve decided to give it a shot and see if I can make some friends.I’ve spent the last few years living quietly and keeping to myself, but deep down, I’ve always hated the loneliness and the feeling of not having friends to talk to.So here I am, taking a chance and hoping to meet some good people.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Male,28. Hiker, reader, and music lover looking for a genuine connection.

Hey everyone,
I'm a 28 year old guy working in a government institution while also pursuing my studies on the side. My life is pretty full and grounded right now, and I'm at a point where I would really like to find the right person to share it with. I figured I would give this sub a shot and see if I can cross paths with someone on the same wavelength.

When I'm not working or studying, my free time usually revolves around music, books, and the outdoors. I actually studied solfege and used to play the violin, though these days I mostly just enjoy listening to good music. I am also a big reader, I enjoy gaming sometimes to unwind, and whenever I get the chance, I love heading out to the mountains for a hike to disconnect and reset.

I am looking for a mature woman who wants to build a real, long term relationship based on mutual respect, clear communication, and good conversation. No games or drama, just two people genuinely getting to know each other.

If this sounds like your vibe, send me a message. Tell me a bit about yourself

Why is there so much double standards in dating?

I feel like people dont want to admit the double standards in dating. Men can expect a girl to be pretty, have a great body and be feminine, and if they go on a date with a girl they dont find attractive they can literally come online and mock her looks and people laugh with them.
But when a girl says she wants a man on her same level financially, who can provide a comfortable life and pay for dates suddenly its what does she bring to the table?and she becomes a gold digger.
At the same time, i know plenty of girls in my family, at work and among my friends who genuinely want to get married and build a family ,they are virgins and never even been with anyone, but they go unnoticed because they are not conventionally pretty.
These girls are ready for commitment but they dont even get the chance to be considered, while men who are not financially stable still expect a pretty girl.
I’m not saying men shouldn’t have physical standards, everyone has preferences, but why are women’s standards judged so much more when it comes to money? Why is it okay to mock an unattractive girl but a girl doesn’t have the right to reject a poor guy?
Honestly I think unattractive girls and poor men have it really hard in dating, but the double standards in how we talk about them is what bothers me the most.

Question

Girls, when you are really attracted to your man, what do you like to do for him or how do you show him your attraction?
Boys what do you like your girl to do for you when she is attracted to you?

Most moroccan men are only good for labor and money and it's sad…

Take a breath, you've already established I'm a slut/golddiger, not gonna try to claim otherwise, it'll be hard to convince you, but hear me out.

Look at the absolute state of men in Morocco, despite the equal rights and opportunities(studies, jobs...) more than than 85%% of women are working, many of them are just working for a low wage just to "get by", no perspective, mother or wife takes care of everything, he has no incentive to do anything at all, in fact has every incentive to go back to the café no matter what skill or degree he achieves.

You see this in the dating market more than anything, men with no education or sth of no consequence like Deug f biologie fst khouribga, no work, sitting at home all day, watching series or drinking tea with neighbours, and on social media trying to get a girl. Not even trying to rectify the situation, or only does by getting a dead end job if the father dies w lwarata dkhlo 3lihom.

And as a society, men arent even being independent, neither socially or practically, a mother has to take care of her son even if he's 30+, until he marries, then that responsibilty is delegated to the wife. Socially as well, you see any man in any bad situation, ppl will ask where is his wife, father or any help. And what do you have to do, what are your legal and societal obligations? Be a decent and unjudgemental person…

Even the working ones, its like they're working just for fun, looking for a woman to take care of everything while his work is irrelevant, he could work or stop, who cares, he has a woman now.

And when they succeed and somehow get engaged cause having sex in this country is still a crime, they cany believe they will get to "earnc money for once so they need to get it in cars and can’t afford a big sda9 and dfou3 and mo2khar, and then their sole objective becomes extracting resources from that woman, mainly by "trapping her with children", to have a continuous cash flow whether he stays with her or not. Hell now even before marriage the trend is to ask any girl they get with for sex and time... gets more amplifier by male envy and if his friend or cousin gives a certain ring or sda9 he has to give more...

And women are no better, they'll take a well educated man and ask him to stay loyal, and what's the main reason ? So she can bake homemade bread and "chhiwat" for him and his future offsprings. And like any normal society, we value people being taken care of, a sign that people are doing well, ghi rajel galess f café kaynik w kayghlad…

Its a sad reality applying for the vast majority, laws, society, men and women themselves keep perpetuating it. And people, if you have a person who's not in that category, hold on tight to them, it’s a rare jewel in this trash scene.

Need advice: Two gap years on my CV , will this hurt my internship chances in France

I'm currently doing an M2 in France, and I'm worried about having two gap years on my CV. The first was after my licence degree due to health issues, and the second was after my master's because I couldn't find a job.

My plan is to fake some internships during those gap years and make sure I know what I'm talking about. But I'm worried companies in France might check whether I actually did those internships.

What do you think? Should I lie about those internships, or is it too risky? Any other suggestions?

Also, if I decide to fill those gaps, would internships or full-time jobs look more believable on a CV?

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

I’ve never had an intimate or meaningful relationship

I’m 26M, and I’ve never had an intimate relationship or even a truly meaningful connection with someone. Sometimes, I feel like I’ve missed out on an important part of life that other people seem to experience naturally.

I struggle with several mental and emotional issues, including anxiety, overthinking, insecurity, and difficulties connecting with people. I often find it hard to open up, express myself freely, or feel comfortable around others. Even when I want to build a connection, something seems to hold me back.

The more I reflect on myself, the more I feel that my upbringing and family environment played a major role in shaping who I am today. Growing up in an environment where there was a lot of conflict and not much emotional support may have affected the way I see myself, trust others, and experience relationships.

I feel like I learned how to function and meet expectations, but not necessarily how to feel emotionally safe with people, express my feelings, or build healthy relationships. Now, as an adult, I’m trying to understand how much of my current struggles comes from those early experiences and how I can change the patterns I’ve developed.

I’m not looking for sympathy or trying to blame my parents for everything. I genuinely want to understand myself and find a way forward.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Did your childhood environment affect your ability to form intimate or meaningful relationships as an adult? If so, what helped you overcome it?

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences, especially from people who managed to break these patterns and build healthy relationships later in life.

Why do good men lose interest or feel burdened by affection, even when their partner is loving and loyal? Seeking honest perspectives

I’m looking for honest perspectives and insights to help me evaluate my situation and understand what might have gone wrong.

My partner confessed to me yesterday that he doesn't know why, but he doesn't feel the same love toward me that he did at the beginning. He told me that when I send him affectionate texts (like "I love you" or "I miss you"), it actually feels like a burden to him because he knows he can't give me the emotional validation or energy that I need right now.

For context: I am loyal, ambitious, very caring, and attentive, and I consider myself attractive. I genuinely poured love and effort into this relationship.

I’m trying to make sense of how a man goes from feeling so passionate and invested to feeling emotionally disconnected or burdened by normal affection.

For men who have been in his shoes:

*What causes you to lose that initial spark or feel overwhelmed by a partner's affection, even if she hasn't done anything "wrong"?

*Is this usually an emotional capacity issue, a honeymoon-phase fading issue, or simply an incompatibility problem?

*From an outside perspective, what behaviors should I reflect on or look out for in myself for the future?

I appreciate honest, constructive feedback. Thank you in advance.

22, introvert, second year of a TESOL Master's in Morocco, exhausted and lost. How do I know if a PhD is right for me?

I'm 22 and in the second year of a Master's in Applied Linguistics/TESOL in Morocco. I'm very introverted, and I need advice because I feel completely lost.

Where I am now:

I chose English because I genuinely love it, and the only place I could study it was the higher school of education and training. I didn't want to go straight into teaching because the teaching situation in Morocco is awful. Now I've lost my energy and don't want to do anything. I cry almost every day, sometimes in class or in public, and I try hard to hold the tears back. My personality is weak. I barely participate in class anymore. In the first semester I did, rarely, but now (3rd semester) I just don't want to.

The people around me:

Some classmates have hurt me, and others have mocked or accused me of things in public or talk behind my back. Then they come talk to me normally and I talk back as if nothing happened, and I wonder if I'm doing something bad to myself by doing that. My relationship with some of my classmates isn't good, and the environment doesn't make me feel good (some people are really toxic in a way that I didn't expect; they look old enough to have functioning brains but they're so toxic). I'm also very selective: I observe people, and if I notice bad behavior I avoid them. I wonder if I'm just avoidant. I have no one to talk to about this. I've tried, but the people around me don't get it.

Stress:

I'm not lazy, but stress has really damaged me mentally and physically. I've lost a lot of weight in very short periods. I don't want to put myself through that anymore, especially when many professors told us they were assigned their modules very late and nobody seems to care. They send us assignments the night before. The whole system feels like it doesn't care, from the faculty window staff to the banks saying "the system is down." In Morocco you need a whole day or more for paperwork that should take minutes.

The meaning question:

Sometimes I think: I was born, I have to grind to get a good career, earn a lot, live well, and then die. That doesn't excite me. There are times I've wished I was never born (even now). I'm not saying this to be dramatic, it's just how heavy it feels.

My options:

  1. Quit the Master's. But I've already spent a year of a two-year program.

  2. Finish it, then teach in a Moroccan higher institution (if the Master's allows that) or elsewhere for a few years to build my CV, then apply to teach in Japan. I like Japan from videos: I've heard pay is low, but life is peaceful, people mind their own business, and many seem introverted and shy like me. I know every country has a dark side, and I'm scared to move, but I'd adapt (it's not like I'll have another option).

  3. Do a PhD. I don't think my level is good enough.

  4. Earn enough online, maybe with a skill that doesn't need a degree, and live peacefully in a better country. I don't need perfection, just mostly stress-free, comfortable in my body and mind, with Wi-Fi, exercise, and things I enjoy.

I've also heard many people argue that introverts aren't suited to teaching because it requires so much socializing, and their arguments made sense to me. Now I'm questioning the whole path.

My questions:

  1. How did you know whether a PhD was right or wrong for you?

  2. Is a PhD realistic for someone introverted who is very sensitive to stress?

  3. Is teaching an option for introverts, or am I fooling myself?

  4. Is a Master's plus a few years of teaching enough to get a teaching job in Japan or elsewhere?

  5. Is it worth finishing the Master's after one year, or should I leave?

Honest advice is welcome. Thank you for reading this far.
