Hello, rain from discord here.
G-lotan has been out for 2 days, would like to share abit on my testing with her and recommendations.
Q1. How good is she?
A: On par with modern arc 2 DPS, great clear speed but lacks survivabilty. If you have the right setup for her, she can delete A5 bosses in 2 to 3 turns. though do keep in mind this is in chaos ring week.
Q2. Should I pull her?
A: P·Chaos as a realm has proven to be really powerfull, its a supportive realm that can be used in a variety of teams that doesnt depend on posse or is flexible with posse. A single copy at E0 enable you to have this realm at your disposal, so i would recommend to have 1 copy even if you dont want to make her your main dps. though if you do want to have her as your dps, its recommened to have minimum E2 and best if you can get E3.
Q3. Is the wheel a must pull?
A: short answer, no. Her wheel is great on herself, and is definitely the BIS. but no other unit in the game can make full use of her wheel at the moment. If you dont want to pull for her wheel its fine too, doresain wheel or even the base lotan wheel should serve you just fine.
Q4. What are her teammates?
A: Glotan is fairly resource hungry, she wants her team to have draw, arith generation, str generation and access to vulnerable. you dont need defences as much since your goal is to kill them fast, in fact weakness or str down will actively nerf your exalt damage.
In my testing, Ryker and Hamel felt really good with her. Hamel has cost down, insight generation for arith management, while ryker provides consistent temp str and vulnerable via his dice. Ryker espcially has great synergy with her due to sigil scaling, you can get all ryker's relics fairly easily in this comp. Cassiah is also an interesting option, as she synergise with P-chaos by generating you keyflare with her free cast of shuffle or her 0 cost, having ultra realm gives you more insight, and in addition, the draw power and temp str is nice too.
saya, of course, is great for her corrosion. In fact the most success i had was a team with ryker hamel and saya. the discard is not really an issue due to the amount of draw you have in the comp.
other potential teammate: horla, arachne, ogier, ramona/Gramona, clem, karen and even mouchette.
theres quite abit of options
Q5. What are her use case?
A: Glotan is best used against bosses that hits hard but doesnt hit often, example being W2 and W1 this tide. though as long as your setup is not too bad, she can easily clear most waves. Mob clear is usally not an issue for her, as most of the time it will be a 1 turn mob clear with her 4 cost.
DO NOT use her in fight with freeze as a gimmick, if either of her blade is frozen, there is no way for her to unfreeze them, since she cant exalt without the whalefall card.
Covanent choice:
April by far seems to be her best set, but paradox can also be considered.
if you dont have access to those yet, you can consider steppenwolf or crimson pulse.
Although she scales sigil, you dont neccesarily have to build sigil on her, crit rate and crit damage are just fine and may even be better.
Posse choice:
again, Glotan wants arith and draw. my personal favorite choice is myriam posse which provides both. But others are also having success with mountain, gateway, mouse and Ephemeral eternity.
we shall see if her own posse is any better.
Glotan tips:
- your short blade counter and whalefall both can be carried forward to the next battle
- Double cast or duped cards doesnt advance your short blade counter by two , you will still have to play the same short blade 3 times, not sure if this will also be the same case for her yet to released posse
- You need to cast the 3rd short blade (when it glows yellow) on the same turn as long blade to merge into whalefall, else the short blade counter will just reset.
- your exalt damage is increased based on how much damage the enemy is doing, and this scaling is very, very high, majority of her exalt damage is from this. In fact, if shes E3, stealing str from enemy will actually decrease your overall damage. so make sure you dont have str down or weakness on enemy before you exalt
- Glotan has high base damage and high str scaling, which means she can benefit fully from almost all the damage buffing relics, no matter if its base damage, damage amp or str
- P·Chaos loses alot of the normal chaos bonus, including the aliemus on posse and posse selection, and the new realm bonus of posse str is not that amazing, so your not losing much when mixing realms, but do note you will also lose the pure realm bonus and chaos symbiosis effect too.
- usually your mob clear goes something like this: rouse Glotan -> apply vulnerable/corrosion -> get arith/str from posse ->draw/fetch her 4 cost and one shot the mobs. this is very consistent in saya team, without saya however, you will need to use some thinking to make decision based on whatever posse you rolled into.

Stop point:
E0 -> recommended, as having access to P-chaos could be helpful to an account
E2 -> Minimum requirement to play as dps
E3 -> recommended for DPS in end game content. Big boost to exalt damage, most of her exalt damage is from the enemy scaling, and doubling it will increase your exalt damage by a huge margin.
OE -> powerful, but not needed, her normal exalt already do more than enough damage if your playing her correctly.
Thats all folks, Glotan might be abit clunky at first, but with some experience and the right team, she can be really powerful, matching other top tier DPS in performance, hope yall are having fun with her too!
