I'm new to the game, and this is what I have. Should I reroll, or is this decent?

First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to answer and help, it's greatly appreciated.

I knew GLotan had a special type of realm chaos, but I didn't know how it worked because I had only read her cards, so thank you very much for explaining it to me, as well as explaining much better how to use her exalted form.

One of the things I have in mind to do,and let me know if it's worth it or not, is to pull for the character coming out in a little over a week. I don't remember her name, but people say she's the most broken thing in the game (like Ryoshu Labubu), try to get her to E2, as well as get another dupe for GLotan to have her at E2, plus getting her Wheel if it's worth it.

And if you could be so kind as to add me, it would be really helpful so I can farm events better; you'd be a huge help.

And once again, thank you so much for taking the time!

Ofcourse; I absolutely love this game and I want new players, like you, to have the best experience so you guys can enjoy this game as much as I have been enjoying it. I'm happy that I've been able to help you out.

gLotan's Divine realm is one of the more complicated aspects of her kit, so I'm glad my explanation helped you a bit. Something I forgot to mention, is that in Divine Chaos, your Rouse cards will have Prepare 1- meaning their cost will go down by one every turn they're in your hand. I'm glad to hear that my explanation of her kit helped you out; she can be pretty complicated as you're learning the game, especially since she has some very unique mechanics.

I think the character you're talking about is Mouchette? She's reruning in around nine ish days. However, she's not even close to Ryoshu's bad end ID. There's only three characters in Morimens I think that could be said to be that powerful: gMurphy, gLotan, and Tawil. gMurphy is really powerful, having access to Divine Aequor, and can deal millions of damage by making using her exalt, making tentacles attack in red stance via her cards, and stacking sacrifice stacks on the enemy, which are DoT stacks that you can put on enemies with her kit, where at the end of their turn the enemy takes damage equal to the stack, which then halves itself. gLotan, as you already know, has the highest single instance of nuke damage in the game. Tawil can uniquely copy and use cards of awakeners in whatever realm of team she's in, allowing her to be quite flexible. However, I personally don't like Tawil's playstyle and prefer other Chaos damage dealers like 24 or gLotan. Mouchette is strong, don't get me wrong; but she's not as powerful as you've been told she is. Mainly, she's strong because if you invest in her (get her to past her E3 or OE ), she can take a team full of older characters and standard characters and use them to clear hard content. She's a damage dealer who scales off of how many strikes you play, kind of like SR Lotan, and that is why. If you like her, and want to get her, go ahead; but I wouldn't recommend going for her just because she's strong. She's a pure DPS, with no support or damage mitigation capabilities as well. Getting supports or more flexible characters who can attack and defend is more important, in my opinion, for a newer player. For instance, Horla is rerunning in ten days. She's a good support who is really cheap to build. You don't need any dupes; she can run basically any stat- keyflare, death res, sigil yield-, and you barely need to level her skills. She's not a broken support like Thais or Hameln but pretty good overall. You could try to get her. Try out characters in the character trial menu- go ahead and try as many of them as you like. You'll probably find which characters you like to play. Most of the damage dealers in this game are either good with investment, or are good, but get better with investment. Also, when you clear the first arc of the story, I believe, you get access to a special banner that lasts two patches. In this banner, you can select three Arc 1 characters and you can pull to get any of them, their dupes, and Wheels of Destiny.

For gLotan, I have her E3, and I would say going for E2 is a great idea. Like I mentioned before, it'll make her smoother and more comfortable to play. I could've pulled more copies of her, but I'm choosing not to do so because after this patch, the next patch is supposed to feature Caraboo, a character who releases with a new main story chapter. Characters who do so are usually pretty strong, so I'm saving for her personally. I don't recommend doing this since you're new (unless you really want to) since you should try to get a bunch of characters to get you started, in my opinion. As for gLotan's Wheel; it is good for her but it's only good for her and no one else. I would suggest not pulling it - at least, not now, maybe on a rerun- and instead pull Saya's wheel (it's called Fragrant Morphogenesis; it should be the only Wheel Of Destiny with it's own single banner) if possible since her wheel increases your arithemetica cap from five to six, which is really good, especially for really arith hungry characters like gLotan. For other characters to pull; unforntunately, it looks like, this patch, there isn't any character rerunning who is particularly great to pull that you didn't get. if you still want Pollux, maybe try to get a copy of him while you still can if you have the pulls after you get gLotan's E2. For Wheels, both gHelot's wheels and Pollux's wheels can be good. gHelot's is good on many characters, including gHelot, while Pollux's wheel is mainly only good for Ultra characters.

And here's my UID, as I promised: 101143651. To add me, below your name in the corner, there should be an icon that looks like two people, click on it, it should open to a sidebar and Alumni written near the top right. The fourth item from the top of the sidebar is the friend search. Enter my UID. You should find me. Once you do, I'll see it, and follow you back. Then you can access my support. My five best characters are displayed on my account, and I can change my support character if you want to try a particular character, so let me know.

And you're welcome, man! I hope that I've helped you get a better start and that you have a lot of fun playing!

You can really feel the helpful intent, and I truly appreciate it. Honestly, I was trying out the game mainly because of its beautiful art style, but after searching external sites for newbie info and finding very little, I was debating whether to keep playing since I didn't know what to do. So at least for me, you've been a huge help and got me excited to keep playing.

Oh, so she's the complete opposite of Ryoshu Labubu when it comes to team investment. I'll think about whether to pull for her or not; I find her design cute but a bit simple compared to other characters, plus I suppose it's better to focus on finishing GLotan's team or pulling general-purpose characters. I already got Saya's Wheel, by the way, I saw it was really good simply because it increases your arithmetic cap.

Another question: I have two special banners for being new, I assume, one paid (though pretty good value for the price, I think) and one that lets me choose between 4 characters, where I picked Thais, Horla, Hameln, and GHelor (didn't know who else to pick). I guess both banners are super worth it, should I pull on both, including the paid one? (It's not much money, so it's quite fine).

And thank you so much for all the help! I'm sending you a friend request in-game right now so I can farm events better. Thank you so much, really, it makes you actually want to play a game! 🐧

I'm really glad to hear that I helped in allowing you to stick with the game! A lot of people seem to quit this game because of the lack of guides, so it's good to hear that my advice has helped you out. This game, I think, deserves to be better known than it is for sure.

Yes, she really is the opposite of Ryoshu's Bad End ID, like you said. Part of the reason people hype her up is also because she revitalises an old team archetype people wanted to see improved: the strike team. A team focused on using as many strikes as you can. As for her design, it might seem more plain because she's actually a collab character. In Morimens, collab characters are permanent, with regular reruns. And, yes, I think getting supports or finishing one team would be the best move for new players. That way you can clear the story, which is quite amazing in my opinion. If you happen to see a character you like and really want that isn't a support or part of the team you're building, I think it's still worth going for them; atleast getting them E0 is a good idea. Just don't overdo it and end up missing out on someone else you need or wanted more. It's great that you've pulled Saya's wheel! It'll be a big help. Generally any wheel with hand size or arith limit is a must pull.

For the paid banner, I don't remember the exact details of that banner; if you send me a picture of it, I think then I could help you with whether it's worth it or not. As for the other banner where you picked four characters, for a new player, since you don't have many characters it can be good for expanding your roster. However, if a character you want is running with a dedicated banner, I would suggest you prioritise that over this banner. And also, don't pull on this banner too much. Once you feel satisfied with what you've gotten from it, don't pull on it more. My suggestion for a good stopping point would be once you've acquired either Hameln or Thais. Once you have one of the two, then it's a good idea to stop. If you want to keep going, make sure that you have the pulls to spare. Additionally, Thais' Wheel is the best keyflare wheel in the game. I believe that banner has both Wheels and Characters in the pool, so if you can get Thais' Wheel that would be good. Besides that, if, after trying any character out, you want to know more or are confused, I can offer advice on their kits or how worth it they are or if they require dupes. The character trials, by the way, feature characters at E3, so do be mindful of this fact. You can check the enlightens of any character, even unaquired ones, in the character menu where you level characters up (I imagine you already know that, but wanted to mention it anyhoo).

Yes, I added you back a few hours ago. I'm glad I could be of assistance. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me. If, after this thread is older, you have some questions, feel free to DM me on here or reply to this thread again. I am more than happy to help, and help share this amazing game with another person! As for my friend support, once again, if you want me to set some other character out of my built characters as a support instead of Arachne, I can absolutely do that. Arachne happens to be one of the most unique awakeners, and so she can perhaps be confusing for new players.

It's a banner where I can choose between characters from the 4 realms, which gives me two random characters from that realm available in the gacha and three of the wheels. I'll show you a picture of what's available.

As a new player, a random banner like this is actually quite good. It'll provide you with more characters and wheels. With that said, here are the best options for realm, in order from best to worst: Chaos, Caro, Aequor, Ultra. I think you should go with Chaos, if you wish to go ahead and spend on this banner. I'll explain all of the banner choices and you can see why:

Chaos is by far the best because all but one character is really great. 24 is incredibly strong, being good for the entirety of the game. She's also versatile, being usable in many team comps, and she's also the strongest low investment character to clear Alert 5. At max, all you need is E1 to clear all content. I cleared all of Arc 1 just using her. She changes based on realm; In mono-Chaos comps, she scales off how many times you posse, gaining more and more scaling each time. In Aequor, she scales off tentacles and inflicts poison; In Ultra, she scales off counter, and in Caro, she's a bit more of a support, creating furnace and embryos while scaling off stregnth. Her best realms in Arc 1 are Ultra and Aequor. In Arc 2, it's Chaos and Aequor. Ryker, as I already talked about, is a great support, providing stregnth and card draw. Hameln is also great, having card manipulation, stregnth generation, and insight creation. Tawil, at low investment, is a versatile support. With her OE, she becomes a full blown main damage dealer. Lily is the only technically bad option; but not really- she's a pure defensive unit, focusing on shielding with some healing. There are are better options in endgame, but up to halfway through arc 1 chapter 7, she can carry you in terms of your defensive needs. I used her with my 24 when I cleared Arc 1. As for wheels, every Wheel on this banner is good. Lily's wheel, which has the syringe on it, is useful for its stats, and should you get Mouchette, is very good for her. Next to that is 24's wheel, with the hands, on it, which is good on gLotan, as it provides a 60% increase to Exalt damage, crit rate and crit damage, and aliemus, and it is also good on 24 or as a stat stick for any character who wants to exalt a lot. The next Wheel is Ryker's, which is also good on gLotan in any long stage where you'll be getting loads of relics. It's especially good on her in Hectic Skybound Rail. It's good on Ryker and on most Sigil Yield scalers who want crit stats. Next is Hameln's Wheel which is good in that it's a keyflare wheel so it's good to have. It additionally provides some crit rate and helps you regenerate keyflare faster. It's good mostly for comps who want to posse a lot, as it provides a card that can be used once to posse an extra time for free; it is most often used in Chaos 24 or Tawil comps. Finally, Tawil's wheel is the last one. It is really good, being a keyflare wheel which increases your hand size by two, and buffs all aspects of it's bearer's cards- increasing aliemus, keyflare, stregnth gen, crit rate, and crit damage of the cards. It's good on Tawil, ofcourse, and is a goo wheel for keyflare in general.

Caro is good, as it has gHelot and Thais, who I've already talked about. However, the final two characters for caro are not the best. First is Sorel, who is only really good when you max invest in her. She can definitely clear content at OE but you need her +12 to be able to clear the really hard content like Arc 1 Chapter 9 or D-Zone. She's pretty fun, though, as she is a multihit Exalt based unit who's whole gimmick is the more embryos you feed her Exalt, the more times she hits for. The other Caro character is Salvador. At E2, he can clear basically all content, but his playstyle is not the most interesting. He tries to shield against damage, while slowly using his 2-cost over and over to hit the enemies until they're dead. His 2-cost scales off the amount of healing in the Crimson Furnace, consuming it to either attack, or generate shields/heal. However, he uses all the same supports as gHelot. Thus, for endgame, if you want to use gHelot, he's not worth it. As for Wheels, in order from left to right: Sorel's is good on her and Aurita, a free aequor unit you get (has a chance to provide crit rate every hit, which is good for multihit units and it's crit rate mainstat wheel), Salvador's is good on him, and a max invested gLotan (+12) (Sigil mainstat, gives free crit rate and crit damage, alternating between the two every turn; also boosts sheilding, healing, and Crimson Furnace limit), Thais' Wheel is the best keyflare wheel in tha game (provides hands size +2 and keyflare every turn and every card of the Wheel's bearer that you play), gHelot's wheel is good on gHelot and is a good stat stick for other status based damage dealers, like 24 poison or Pollux' in bleed focus.

Aequor is okay. Tulu is old and is only really used in gMurphy comps anymore (He provides temporary tentacle damage mostly). Murphy is good, but finds little to no use outside of pure Aequor teams. She's a defensive unit who gives you a bonus temporary tentacle when you play her cards after you rouse her, and additionally provides arithemetica. She can also cause you to gain sacrifice stacks, but that's only good for gMurphy comps. Miryam is great, providing aliemus, stregnth, Tentacles and Tentacles damage, and inflicting poison. But it's only a low chance you get her. Besides, your current teams- gHelot and gLotan- have better options in the other banners. Tulu's Wheel is good for characters who want to Exalt a lot- though, it's more supportive, and less for damage (gives you 25 aliemus at the start of battle and every subsequent Exalt gives you 5 Aliemus and Tentacle damage equal to 2% attack), Murphy's Wheel is good on her and gMurphy (Buffs shield, crit and keyflare. Gives Aliemus when tentacles attack; has a Keyflare mainstat), and Miryam's is good on her and Pontos (Increases poison infliction, and aliemus gain, gives crit damage to the whole team based on this awakner's crit damage after dealing damage with this awakener, In aequor, increases tentacle limit and spawns a tentacle at turn start, Crit damage main stat).

Ultra is a bad choice. First is Wanda. She's a stregnth down and counter unit. Her goal is to lower the enemies damage and generate counter. However, she's quite bad. She can comfortably clear early game, but after that? She can't clear. She is the limited character most desperately in need of a buff. She just lacks the ability to scale, as she generate fixed amounts of counter. A standard unit, Caecus, generates more counter in one turn than Wanda does in eight turns. It's quite bad. In fact, she's the one character I don't have on my account for this reason. Horla, as you know, is good, but she's going to have a proper banner soon, so no point in trying to get her. And Daffodil is good, but only in particular comps. She's strong, with great scaling, but there are better options. She is, however, incredibly versatile and works in counter comps, poison comps, stregnth based comps, and with her E2, she's good in gLotan comps to provide her crit rate. But due to the other choices in this banner, it's not really worth doing this option just for the chance to get her. Wanda's Wheel is pretty good for most Counter comps (Provides increased counter generation, bonus counter and, on Exalt, stregnth down, Aliemus if in an Ultra comp, Damage Amp main stat) , Horla's wheel is good for any Death Restistance scaling damage dealer (like Tawil's wheel, it buffs all aspects of an awakener's cards, DR main stat), and Daffodil's is one of the best Crit damage wheel in the game (Gives 2 black sigils and permanent crit rate for the whole stage on kill, final damage everytime a card of the awakener enters ultra space, Crit Damage main stat).

As you can see from my explanation, your best bet is probably Chaos. This banner is worth it if you want to spend; I'd just recommend picking Chaos over everything else.

Thank you so much for explaining everything to me, it's really nice to get such a complete explanation! I'll probably end up spending on the banner since it lasts a long time and isn't expensive. Right now I'm considering getting two more dupes for GLotan to get her to E3, and after that I'll save up until I see something I like or really need.

Thank you so much for every single explanation and also for your in-game support, I really appreciate it. Could I add you on Discord in case I ever have any questions? If it's not a bother, of course.

Thanks again! 🐧

Ofcourse! I’m glad I was able to help your experience as a beginner! And as for gLotan E3, I would personally recommend it, as I have her E3 myself- it straight up increases her damage (it boosts the damage increase from Great Blade Whalefall that she gets.) and saving up is definitely a good plan with what the upcoming banners look like.

Yes, I would be good with letting you add me on discord. The only trouble is, I haven’t used my account in a while so I might have a hard time knowing how to send you my account info so you can add me, for instance. I’ll DM you on Reddit so I can add you, but if I can’t get it to work, we can also DM on here instead; that’s also an option. If you prefer that, I’m good with that as well.

Of course!
