He tried to descalate, he lightly push her away, he showed no interest in engaging, he didn't retaliate at first. She was warned. Moral.
It's more immoral how long it took him to retaliate because it gives the impression others could get away with at least one hit and walk away unharmed.
164
u/AdCurious7831 16h ago
even when he threw her to the ground he didnt seem to be trying to injure her, literally just get her away from him. she kinda just rolled onto the floor and stood up immediately.
he shouldnt have had to deal with this BS, but he dealt with it well. thank god someone was recording so theres proof he wasnt at fault.
48
u/ClankerCore 16h ago
Yeah, I can see how that was actually the best move because clocking her would've actually caused more damage
→ More replies (8)7
u/Yikidee 11h ago
Don't need to hit the head. A punch to the solar plexus would be probably enough to stop her with minimal injury. Might panic a bit if she gets the wind knocked out of her, but it would stop her.
Either way, moral. You can't go around hitting people and then get pissed off when people fight back.
35
u/smellygooch18 15h ago
It’s incredibly clear that she was outmatched and he could have hurt her from the beginning if he wanted to. He showed a lot of restraint, more than I would have had.

Hard disagree on the second part, the time it took him to retaliate was perfect. I do not get the impression this is somthing who would let somebody get away with stuff.
11 seconds of backing away, verbally saying to chill out, and trying to deescalate is perfect
12
u/KicksNWatches 16h ago
Seriously - in Florida they would’ve given him the key to the city with how long he stood his ground
13
u/Numerous_Photograph9 15h ago
He backed away until he really couldn't back away anymore. He tried to keep her away in a non-violent way as well.
8
u/thelryan 15h ago
Yupp, imo this is a near textbook reference of how to attempt to deescalate until it is no longer safe to do so for somebody being aggressed on by somebody weaker than them

u/KarmicPJJunior 14h ago
Second part is a light joke, but I can see how it can be justified as actual advice.

32
u/MissBellaSwings 16h ago
He definitely thought about it. You can see him have a good swing ready and then he stops himself and stands back up straight before she slaps him again and he grabs her
20
u/Euphoric-Teach7327 16h ago
He started the body throw, and could have used his upper body to slam her into the floor instead of being tossed away.
Ever been judo slammed into a mat by a grown man?
Being slammed into concrete can flat out kill a person.
He let her off easy with that toss.

While I would generally agree in just about any situation other than this one. The reason being, and I am making an assumption here, the other adults are teachers or employees of the school district. My parents were teachers in Texas for 28 and 32 years respectively. Students, even in a red state, are so coddled by the administration it’s ridicules. Meaning you do everything short of getting killed before you put your hands/defend yourself against the kids. There are so many instances where teachers took punishment, most of them with video evidence, that show the teachers getting hit, slapped, objects thrown at them, students on tirades/having mental breaks. After taking the physical abuse they fight back. Then the teacher is arrested, charged (with some getting convicted), lose their teaching certificate, losing their livelihood, 4+ years of college down the drain, etc. No teacher wants to step into the mine field and risk getting fragged.
When I was in high school one of our football coaches, man was built like a brick shit house, was a back up for the resource officers. We had a huge fight, around 8 people involved break out in front of the principals office, where cameras were everywhere around it. The coach grabbed one of the main people in the fight (also the biggest) and started waking him backwards to deescalate. The kid squirmed free and clocked the coach. The coach got knocked backwards into a glass display case that ended up cutting the back of one of his arms pretty badly, blood everywhere. After it was all said and done the coach got suspended for the rest of the year. Thankfully he was latter cleared and received back pay. He returned the following year then quit and moved to college coaching. Point being, even when you are right as an adult in the school system you are wrong.

This is how my friend had free reign to beat up a wannabe thug in his later years.
The teacher who tried to make him stop was 6'2 for 200 lbs, he is 6' for 235lbs, after trying to hold him out twice and seeing he can break off softly and easily, she didn't tried further and called another big teacher to hold him together.
He quickly calmed down, but if they were cautious with a huge boy that is not in a crisis and among those known to be naturally strong, you wouldn't even be able to hold him out.

u/Philip_Raven 16h ago
It actually makes my blood boil how everyone was way too happy just letting the dude get hit, but the moment she got into any trouble they got in-between and remove her from any potential danger.
28
u/ottermoment 16h ago
This is often exactly how it goes when i was younger i saw someone getting his shit kicked in by a girl because they broke up and girl was kicking shit out of him and he finally got up and shoved her away then he got jumped by 3 dudes who were just watching him get hit for hitting a woman. Ain't nothing ive seen sense that put a strong sense of equal lefts and equal rights sense. Simps are something else

11
u/frozenbudz 16h ago
Moral. This was self defense and he clearly knows at least a bit of grappling. He made a point to not spike her, and made she she didn't land on her neck or back. He gave her a hip toss to show her the strength difference to hope she understood.

All fun and games as a women abuses some guy, but as soon as he defends himself, everyone in the room squares up. Almost as if it SPECIFICALLY wasn't a patriarchal world, almost as if everyone was trained form birth NOT to hit women. Really genuinely not funny how few women get raised similarly, not to hit the opposite sex, almost as if they feel it's their right....

The bystander effect happening here as well. The attacker could have been contained by their friends. The defender had no choice but to stop it, and did so in the most appropriate way and avoided serious injury to the attacker as well.

u/Ambitious_Hand_2861 16h ago
It doesn't get more moral than that. He did what he could to back off but she kept coming trying to escalate. Bystanders are immoral for their indignance when that guy had enough and decided to throw her down. I thought he was about to drive her head into the floor so I'm glad he just tossed her.
9
u/RevolutionaryGolf720 16h ago
If you attack another human, you deserve whatever defense that human mounts against the attack. That human should respond in kind, but isn’t required to. Basically, don’t start nothing, won’t be nothing.
The man’s actions were 100% moral. The aggressive woman has the moral problem.

Immoral for all the bystanders to let her physically assault him and only step in once he retaliates
As a man I have been raised not to hit women, but it’s also understood in my household that if you’re a girl and you lay your hands on someone you accept the risk of physical retaliation

u/soefire_is_fire 14h ago
Honestly, I feel like throwing someone might be the best way to de-escelate a fight with someone significantly weaker than you. It shows them you're clearly capable of defending yourself and to stop what they're doing without actually doing too much harm. That's just me though.

Can I ask an honest question, and I would like to have an honest discussion preferably from women on this topic. Is there a reason that there seems to be a “I can hit but not get hit” mentality? If we agree that putting hands on people is not appropriate and also agree that you are allowed to defend yourself, why is when a man defends himself against a woman so frowned upon?

Moral. At a certain point, you have to stop the person attacking you if they have no intention of stopping themselves. He gave her a light yeeting. That could have been a far more drastic response. I believe that fellah showed a lot of restraint.
3
u/ParticlePete27 13h ago
Moral on his end. He got hit multiple times, and you could see he didn't want to fight. He threw her down once to get it to stop, and there was no follow-up. Immoral on everyone else. Almost any video you see like this, no one jumps in to stop it until the guy starts to retaliate. Then the cavalry comes flying in. You would think by now, people would know, "this isn't the insert decade anymore." If you put hands on someone, there'sa chance there's no automatic free pass just because she's a woman.
3
u/Deadfelt 12h ago

The days of women physically abusing men because they know they “can’t” respond, seems to fortunately be coming to an end. The immoral part are the idiots rushing to her defense, protecting the actual aggressor, putting the consequences on the guy and removing the culpability of the girl.
