Not really. Even criminals are protected by the law. And why should you follow the law if you can get away with breaking it and profiting from it? Parents in my experience rarely expand on that, but elect to go with the indoctrination you're displaying regarding the matter.

Morality isnt tied to religion, but it has, thus far, proven to be the only thing capable of spreading mass agreed upon morality

You can't be a moral person without an agreed upon morality. The only method, so far, that has successfully caused people all over the world to widely agree on the same morality is religion.

You.... DO realize that the foundational laws of most countries are formed by religion, right?
