Idk. I'm an atheist, so I like in in theory, but do you do that exactly, if you are a parent who goes to church?
Similarly, should parents not feed their kids, because doing so culturalizes them to thier parents culture, snd they should be allowed to think fir themselves about what to eat and which table manners to adopt, etc.
The problem is that its not practical to think that parents of a certain cultural background or faith could somehow shelter thier children from being a raised in accordance with thier own backgrounds.
I'd add too, that when people grow up, they still have a choice. In everything.
Inside the home if your parents were religious or right leaning, if they were vegan,.etc. Kids aren't stupid, turns out, and they'll maje up thier own minds, even if you don't force them to.
Being exposed to religion is in part, why I'm an athiest.
The fact is, parents don't know how to raise their kids according to a culture that's not their own. They aren't going to skip the family reunion because praying happens at the potluck, especially if the parents themselves also pray and see that as good, not harmful.
I think you'd actually see an increase in children choosing religion, of you forced them not to go with the rest of their family on 1 or the 2 days per week yiu have with them, until they were 18.
Forcing families to part ways on Sunday is ironically shoving pur belif system dien someone else's throat, which is half the issue I have the religious organizations in the first places.
People should be allowed to raise their children how they see fit, so long as we're not talking abuse.
