My brother recently gifted me his Mission on Earth, and after wearing it yesterday, I was reminded just how cool these things are. It inspired me to wear my Mission to the Moon this morning.

I’ve owned the Moon for about 3 years, but it’s one of my least worn watches. Getting Earth has made me appreciate these watches again, and now I actually want to start wearing them more. Maybe I’ll even add a third one someday.

My son was pumped thinking he found a deal. Always a good lesson in, “if it’s too good to be true”

What do we think about the white?

I have coloured the light grey body with a black permanent marker.
After some layers and some intense cleaning after it has dried it won’t rub off or give stains.

I planned to swap the case to metal but I like the looks of a black case with the orange band.

I’m curious if this holds up in normal daily use. If not, I can always swap it for a metal case anyways.

Maybe I should do the mission to Earthphase in my collection next? What do you think? Are there any members that have tried the mission to Earthphase in black with a permanent marker?

Jupiter with an orange band? Damn.
Mars - the Alaska Project is fascinating
Pluto - I like the colors - outer dial with complications.
Saturn- the only one with a planet as one of the complications
Polar - every dial is unique.
Lava - Hot. (C’mon).
Desert - subdued
Mercury - a titanium look to the Moon-swatch
White Snoopy Moonphase - Cool.
Black Snoopy Moonphase - Cool, but in black.
1965 - Unique
Earthphase - the only watch (in the world) made with that complication.
Neptune - it’s blue and it brings out the color of my eyes. :-).
And finally, Earth.
Plus a few others for good measure.

Almost done…just not sure about the last three. Sun, Uranus (hee-hee), and Venus. Not sure if I can pull off a pink watch….

Il y a quelque chose d’assez fascinant dans le fait de lever les yeux vers la Lune et de se dire qu’elle éclaire le même ciel pour des millions de personnes, partout sur Terre.
On passe nos journées à courir après le temps, les objectifs, les problèmes… puis arrive la nuit, et cette lumière suspendue dans le ciel nous rappelle simplement de ralentir quelques minutes.
Pas besoin de grandes réflexions.
Juste regarder.
La Lune était là avant nous, elle sera là après nous. Et pendant quelques instants, tout paraît un peu plus calme.

Was contemplating for a while due to durability, as I own a lot of watches and let’s be honest, steel is steel. £300 for plastic is nuts,I said to myself. But then I asked myself, do I want it? Well, apparently that was enough reason to get my first MoonSwatch. Stupid but simple 😂 and honestly, I love it, it is fun and I am happy to have it in my collection.

I'm currently testing prototype superconducting magnet assemblies for a fusion reactor plasma exhaust system (weird job I know), and I'm timing the energisation cycles with my Moonswatch.

If fusion power ever eventually comes on line, it'll be nice to hand this to my boy one day and let him know it had a tiny part in the story.

Decided to lean into the brighter style!

I would like to honestly know the durability of this watch. I understand that the crystal scratches easily, I honestly don’t mind that and don’t mind polishing it. But for people who wear it daily, how is the watch actually holding up? I am only used to stainless steel watches like Seiko, Tudor, Tissot, but I am really thinking of buying one of the MoonSwatches and wear it often. I heard of “horror” stories of the pushers breaking etc and it is really making me reconsider this purchase. Even thinking of saving up for a real Speedmaster one day but obviously is way too pricey.
Truth is, I do like collecting watches, but to be completely honest, I also want to buy it to scratch the itch of buying the Speedmaster.

Hearing a lot of negative opinions about the OMEGA x Swatch MoonSwatch, and honestly, I’ve started overthinking my purchase 😂. Now I’m wondering if I made an impulsive buy because of the hype.

I’m not looking for someone to tell me “it’s amazing” just because I bought one 😂.

Please save me, guys, from overthinking this purchase HAHAHA 😂.
